IMPRESSIVE ‘GUNBOAT’ FOLLOWS-UP AT HOVE!
SIZZLERS GUNBOAT got off the mark at Hove when beating Champagne Mel by a length in an A6 last time and the September 15 son of Mall Brandy was a 4/1 chance up in grade for the A5 at 1-58. After making a quick start the youngster followed up in fine style by leading all the way to beat the Claude Gardiner trained Baran Mourinho by two lengths! Owned by Dave Cook & Joy Cook Sizzlers Gunboat clocked 30.67 (-20) 30.47 calculated when winning for the 2nd time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
DROOPYS ROXY was sent off a 3/1 chance for the A5 at 11-11 but after making a slow start the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act clocked 30.79 (-20) 30.59 calculated when finishing 5th beaten three lengths by the Wendy Short trained winner On The Sozzle.
SPIDERMAN was a 3/1 shot for the D1 Sprint at 11-28 and the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay held every chance when finishing in 2nd place! Clocking 16.66 (-10) 16.56 calc. he was beaten just under two lengths by Stellars Avenger who is trained by Maria Collins. FANORE FLYER was a 4/1 chance but the April 15 son of Vans Escalade found trouble at the 1st bend after making a slow start! Finishing in 4th place he clocked 16.77 (-10) 16.67 calculated when beaten three lengths by the winner. FLACKWELL SPIRIT beat Roffey Bullet by just over three lengths in a D2 Sprint last time and the June 14 son of Taylors Sky was a 12/1 chance up in grade today! Slow away he clocked 16.90 (-10) 16.80 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just under five lengths by the winner.
ASSERT was a 9/2 chance for the A9 at 12-12 but the July 14 son of Skywalker Ace was slow away and suffered crowding at the 1st bend! Finishing in 4th place he clocked 31.43 (-20) 31.23 calculated when beaten four lengths by Nametab Athena who is trained by Seamus Cahill. Kennel mate FRONT STEP was also a 9/2 chance and the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske also found ‘trouble’ in running! Crowded on the run-up and baulked at the 1st bend she clocked 31.62 (-20) 31.42 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just over six lengths by the winner.
TIMBERLEE LAD was the 7/4 favourite for the D3 Sprint at 12-41 but the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene was slow away and clocking 17.20 (-10) 17.10 calculated ‘Woody’ finished in 4th place beaten three and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Babyface Betty.
BALIBO RUBY was 3/1 joint-favourite for the D2 Sprint at 1-28 where the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate held every chance and keeping on well finished in 2nd place! Clocking 16.94 (-10) 16.84 calculated ‘Ruby’ was beaten just over a length by Elijahs Dream who is trained by Doreen Walsh. On her return after seasonal rest DROOPYS FUN was made a 4/1 chance but the October 15 daughter of Greenwell Hawk was slow away and clocking 17.31 (-10) 17.21 calculated she finished in 6th place beaten six lengths by the winner.
