HOVE GREYHOUND TIPPING COMPETITION SEVEN
THURSDAY 22nd OCTOBER
The Racing Post are making the running in Competition Seven and take a very slender lead into Week Two! Tipping up ‘six’ winners on the Thursday Hove card they amassed a total of 41 points! They sit just two points ahead of 2nd placed Gary Cavalli who also found six winners! Gary has 39 points just three ahead of competition organiser Paul Johnson who enjoyed his best week at Hove! Paul scored 36 points and is poised to ‘attack’ in 3rd place! Best placing’s of ‘our’ home crowd are Steve Barton and Michelle Chambers who each ‘share’ 32 points in ‘joint’ 6th place! A good second week could see the ‘pair’ in the money! Competition Six “Wooden Spoon” winner Jackie Thomas has re-found her Hove form-book and now holds a ‘top-ten’ spot with 32 points (5 Winners) in 9th place!
Ivor Stocker is not far off the pace in 11th place! Ivor found four winners to gain 30 points! Andy Bradstock and Ray Wheeler (joint 14th) with 28 points each are still in a good position to challenge along with Bob Boswell and Gemma Byford (joint 18th) on 25 points! Diane Benson also has 25 points (2 wins) but has to settle for 20th place owing to having one less winner! Way down in 33rd place is Bob Enright looking the ‘likely’ favourite for the ‘Wooden Spoon’ having only gained 5 points! In a low-scoring first week its all to play for next Thursday!

HOVE TIPPING COMPETITION

IT’S EASY TO ENTER AND GREAT FUN!
Here’s how it works:
Anyone can join in, it’s on every Thursday night at HOVE with the Hare running @ 7-31 pm.  It’s Fun!  It’s Exciting! and it’s Great Entertainment!
The Competition will run every fortnight over 2 Weeks, so if you have a bad first week you get the chance to gain more points and Win on the second Week! The Winner each fortnight will be the one with the most combined points over the two Hove meetings.
COST: The £5 per Competition entry fee will cover both of those meetings!  (Thats only £2-50p a week!).
All you have to do is select one dog (Trap) in each of the 12 races on the Hove Thursday night card!  
You Score Points for 1st = 5 points,   2nd = 3 points  and  3rd = 1 point.
You get a DOUBLE BOOM (10 points) if your winner is priced 9/2 up to 17/2
And a TREBLE BOOM (15 points) for winners priced 8/1 or above!
(The BOOMS BONUS only counts on Winners!)
NOTE: Always select a Reserve Trap Number just incase your tip is a non-runner!
There is Competition Prize Money for 1st,  2nd  and  3rd  – 
And even a Wooden Spoon for the Last place Tipster!  –   Engraved by ‘Paul’ in felt-tip pen!

RULES:
1 – Can you make sure to select a Reserve Trap, just in case you miss a meeting, your Reserve will be put in for the whole of that meeting. So if you had Trap 1 as your reserve and missed the second Hove meeting you will have Trap 1 through the card for that meeting.  
2 – If there is a dead-heat for either 1st  2nd  or  3rd place you will still score your respective points! For example: If your tip dead-heated for 3rd place you will be awarded 1 point each! 
3 – If your selection is a non-runner, your ‘tip’ will go on the Favourite. If there is a Joint or Co Favourite your ‘tip’ will go on the lowest trap number.
4 – Points awarded are:  1st = 5 points,  2nd = 3 points and 3rd = 1 point
DOUBLE BOOM  =  10 points awarded for WIN only if your tip is priced 9/2 to 17/2
TREBLE BOOM  =  15 points awarded for WIN only if your tip is priced 8/1 or over!
5 – Winner will receive 75% of the Pot,  2nd will receive 15% of the Pot and 3rd will receive 10% of the Pot.
Note: Your entry fee of £5 covers two Thursday Night Hove Meetings!  (£2-50p per meeting!)

6 – In the event of a tie with points in the final Table the 1st prize will go to the person with most Winners. In the event of further ties it will be decided on most Treble Booms, then Double Booms, then most 2nd’s, then most 3rd places.
