Wendy (Hanover Lady) put up a good show on her televised Sprint Open on Thursday – that said the burden of a trap five boxing was always going to be over-whelming.

Wendy (Hanover Lady) benefits from a far more advantageous make-up in the 5.07pm on Wednesday’s afternoon card. In an interesting heat, with several contenders, our blue girl has every chance of at least making the podium.

Lenny (Droopys Leonard) is in the draft entries for the A3 at 5.38pm but at the time of writing there’s doubt over his participation. Norah had considered giving our lad a rest after a busy time and a recent disappointing effort last week.

The 11.57am, A4 on Friday’s lunchtime card provides Horse Outside an opportunity to continue his fine run of form. Our black and white lad steps down a grade despite his fine effort last week, some must be considered ‘well in.’ Though berthed in two,  there’s  a decent chance our Sept ’09 son of True Honcho can claim a rails pitch early on – he’ll have too much pace late on for his rivals if anywhere near being ‘on the bunny.’ A favourite’s chance.

The A6 at 12.27pm has Oscar (Lima Oscar) taking to the sands for the fourth time this month. Our journeyman is plenty capable enough if in the mood.

Sunday’s BAGS card sees a late call-up for Lenny (Droopys Leonard) in the A3 at 1.44pm. Clearly in rude health given his trap to line gold on Wednesday, Norah did (subsequently and belatedly) inform this correspondent that Lenny had had a visit to Ken earlier in the week. This may have had plenty to do with the scorching 4.11 sectional posting. Lenny, berthed in five on Sunday with stripes a slow starter, avoids a hike in grade, and anything similar to Wednesday’s run will see him go very close.

An early heads-up for next week; Wendy (Hanover Lady) gets to show what she can do Live On Sky Sports on Tuesdays Grand National/Kent Derby card at Sittingbourne.
