A marvelous midweek meet on ‘wonderful’ Wednesday when both club runners came up trumps on the Nevill Road Bags card.

Wendy (Hanover Lady) showed her class by overcoming a modest start in the D1 Sprint, taking command by the bend and landing the spoils with something to spare. Next stop the Sprint Open on the Sky card at Sittingbourne on Tuesday!

Half an hour later and Lenny (Droopys Leonard), reinvigorated by a visit to the chiropractor, clicked into top form taking the plaudits in the A3 in a respectable 30.27.

As mentioned above Wendy (Hanover Lady) gets a shot at the limelight in the £300 to the winner Sprint Open, the 7.14pm at Sittingbourne on Tuesday.

She is up against some elite opposition, some of whom cost more than twenty times Wendy’s purchase price! Our blue girl gets trap one but will be taking her first look at the Central Park Stadium against some very decent rivals. Fingers crossed for a good show.

Norah also has kennel stars Zodiac Zeus and the in form ‘senior’ Rally Town taking their chance in Sky televised Open events later in the evening.

It’s back to BAGS for a Friday fix from the Nevill Road sands.  Lenny (Droopys Leonard) is seeking to put last weekend’s disappointing run behind him, taking a poke at the A3 at 12.42pm. back in his favoured stripes. With a moderate starting youngster on his inside, our boy could give a good account.

In the D1 at 1.12pm Wendy (Hanover Lady) seeks to follow up her recent Hove victory with another red box draw in a heat that is there for the taking.

Our grand blue girl showed her continued fine form in her Kent sortie on Tuesday’s Sittingbourne Sky card, landing the bronze medal in the Sprint Open.

Oscar (Lima Oscar), boxed in trap six, contests an A6 at 12.12pm on Sunday’s BAGS card. It’s a heat that looks framed to suit our consistent journeyman.  There could be some crowding on the inner, and the orange-jacketed Bridies Glory may lead up our black son of Ballintore Brave before he swoops to conquer on the run to the line.
