The kennel’s getting back into familiar territory with the winners coming in thick and fast. That said, club runners drew a blank last week.

Molly (Classy Molly), our new recruit, gets a first look at the Nevill Road circuit with a trial over the standard distance on Monday. Molly took well to the track, and posted a respectable time – perhaps a bit too good.  Anyway, all is well and we can look forward to plenty of fun with her.

The kennel has two representatives on Tuesday evenings Sky card:

Cloheena Mickey in the Sprint Open at 7.34.

Druids Abouttime represents us in the Springbok final at 819pm.  An outsider initially, Richard Birch from the Racing Post has highlighted our brindle’s chances and there’s been a plunge down to 7’s from 14’s at the time of writing.

Club action recommences with Oscar (Lima Oscar) having a crack at an A8 at 4.47pm on Wednesday. Berthed in six, the race isn’t the most inspiring heat and presents an obvious chance for Oscar should he deem to put his best paw forward.

Sunday morning’s BAGS card has Lenny (Droopys Leonard) having a crack at the A5 at 12.58pm.  Our April ’10 could get a bit of daylight in the early stages from his six draw.  The race looks framed to give him a chance with the chance of bunching early on from the middle seeds. Each way chances, and/or reversed with two and five.

There was little to enthuse over Oscar‘s run midweek but our journeyman gets another outing in the A8 at 1.44pm. Whilst there’s nothing too stand-out in opposition, it’s hard to be confident about our lad who really only seems to shine, these days, when he has a clear sight of the bunny.

He’s boxed in six with just mediocre trappers on his inside so a nibble at a working man’s price (6’s or better), provides a speculative  interest.
