“ZIPPY” IS UNLUCKY AS LOCHYS BLUE BOY BEATEN IN TRACK RECORD RACE!
Thursday 12th June HOVE Report
Shyan Zippy ran well in the A9 at 7-46 and could be counted a shade unlucky not to win it. She was crowded at the first bend and had the door closed at the third bend when she was looking to challenge. Shyan Zippy ran on well to finish 2nd one and a quarter lengths off the Doreen Walsh trained winner Ballygibbon Jack. ‘Zippy’ clocked 30.75 on the normal going.
Lochys Blue Boy ran in the Coral.Co.Uk Sprint Open Race at 8-02 taking on some quality opposition! That fact was confirmed with the winner Target Harris trained by Hayley Keightley equaling the track-record! (15.89 normal going). Lochys Blue Boy was badly bumped at the first bend and finished 6th clocking 16.76 sec. eleven lengths behind the winner!

Friday 13th June Hove Report
Sizzlers Big Boy could not follow up last Saturdays win in the A7 at 11-42 finishing a disappointing 5th over nine lengths behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Sandy. Sizzlers Big Boy was slow away and clocked 31.09 (-10) 30.99 calculated.
We had two fancied runners in the A6 at 12-12 but they both found trouble in running! Swift Messi (3/1 co-favourite) was baulked from the first bend to the second bend and clocked 31.09 (-10) 30.99 calculated when 4th beaten eight lengths by Old Steine (3/1 co-favourite) who is trained by Doreen Walsh. Graiguenoe Royal was the other 3/1 co-favourite and he cloccked 31.13 (-10) 31.03 calculated after being badly baulked at the second bend and was a further length behind his kennel mate in 5th place.
The Racing Clubs Longrange Denis was looking all over the winner in the A2 at 12-58. Travelling well he was about to make his move when he was baulked and checked at the fourth bend. The 4/1 shot was beaten less than 1/2 a length at the line. ‘Denis’ looks a nice type and clocked 30.42 (-10) 30.32 calculated over the 515 metres. The race winner was Tullna Hawk who is trained by Derek Knight.
Cellini was 2/1 favourite for the A4 at 1-27 but she totally missed the break and was baulked at the first and third bends! She was beaten more than eight lengths, by the Derek Knight trained winner Roses Posh, when finishing in 6th place clocking 31.12 (-10) 31.12 calculated.
Glenvale Rosie is in very good form and only just failed to follow up her win last Sunday in the A9 at Hove today. ‘Rosie’ was crowded at the first bend but ran on well and was only a short head behind the winner Newtown Skipmoll who is trained by Paul Garland. ‘Rosie’ clocked 30.97 (-10) 30.87 calculated in 2nd place!

Farloe Scolari has had his problems recently but the early paced runner can be given a chance in the D2 at 8-34. Kennel mate Sizzlers Magpie was 2nd beaten 3/4 of a length in this grade clocking a good time on her last run!
Boskill Breeze ran well on her debut but has struggled since while Princess Jetta is in good form and should run well in the A7 at 9-07.
Droopys Winnie is up in grade for the A5 at 9-41 after her recent win! Where as Swift Debbie has been well beaten on her last three runs and gets a drop in grade!
Causeiloveyou was a good winner last time out and goes up in grade for that success. The son of College Causeway runs in the A4 at 9-57 and looks a nice prospect.
Glenvale Paddy is another of our recent winners up in grade. But ‘Paddy’ is in good form for the A7 at 10-30 winning two of his last four races! Droopys Halo returns from seasonal rest and went well in a trial five days ago and could just run well!
