SIZZLERSCHEYENNE clocked his fastest time over the 475 metres trip when beating the Maxine Locke trained Alfjack by 1/2 a length on the 8th October! The August 12 son of Hondo Black clocked a brilliant 27.64 calculated on that occasion – a time which would have won him the HOVE THURSDAY NIGHT 500 – 475 – HEAT 3 Open race at 8-02 last night! But unfortunately the Dave and Joy Cook owned runner suffered crowding at the first bend and was baulked at the 1/4 mark and finished well behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Ballymac Brogan. Sizzlerscheyenne clocked 28.45 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place beaten almost ten lengths by the winner!

Distances:    2 1/4,    2

SPARTA FLAME has been in superb form winning 5 of his last 7 races! The December 11 son of Ballymac Maeve clocked a decent 30.32 when beating Geneva Des on the 3rd October and the Mr D. A. Heron, Mr B. Penfold and Mr H. Penfold owned runner improved on that when clocking a superb 16.12 calculated when beating Whileyouwait by just over two lengths on the 8th October! But our in-form sprinter had to settle for 2nd place when beaten a length by the Gemma Davidson trained Zenas Boy in a quality HOVE SPRINT Open last Thursday and he suffered another set-back in a messy CORAL SPRINT Open race at 8-18 last night! Sparta Flame showed good early pace but was badly baulked at the first bend in an incident where Geneva Des fell. Sparta Flame was further baulked at 1/2 way and clocked 17.07 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over four lengths by the Dean Childs trained winner Millwards Whitey. Geneva Des thankfully got to his feet and continued to the pick-up!

BALLYMAC CHINDIT was a good winner of an A6 on the 23rd September when beating Confey Hawk a neck and he followed up in A5 grade beating Albion Calde just over a length on the 27th September! The December 12 son of Ace Hi Rumble has since been beaten on his next two runs now up in A4 grade but he ran a decent race in the A4 at 8-34. Quick away he led to the third bend and despite finishing in 3rd place clocking 30.70 (Normal) he was only beaten a length by the Jason Heath trained winner Ballymac Magic.

CAUSEILOVEYOU has been in good form and got back to winning ways when beating Angry Cookie by 3/4 of a length on the 7th October! The July 12 son of College Causeway ran another good race when finishing 2nd to Newtown Skipdots up in A5 grade last Wednesday. Sent off a 4/1 chance for the A5 at 8-50 last night Causeiloveyou was crowded at the 1/4 mark and he clocked 30.67 when finishing in 3rd place beaten just under four lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Droopys Six.

AVIT ON ELSIE was well beaten by Southern Eddie in the £500 Owners Bonus Series Final (A7) on her most recent outing but the July 12 daughter of Eden Brett was a winner of two of her three previous races! She beat Beattie a short-head in A8 grade on the 20th September and sent off a 7/2 chance for Heat 1 of the Owners Bonus Series (A7) on the 4th October she led on the run-in to beat Miss Jolly by a length and a quarter! She was quick away and led to the 1/4 mark in the A7 at 9-24 but finally finished in 5th place clocking 31.03 (Normal) just two lengths behind the Paul Garland trained winner Senor Tom.

EIGHT RUNNERS ON THE HOVE FRIDAY AFTERNOON CARD!

Friday 23rd October 2015  –  HOVE Runners

Windy Warrior 1

Windy Warrior

WINDY WARRIOR is running really well without getting his head in front! The March 13 son of Windy Millar has finished close up on his last six outings! Beaten just a ‘neck’ by
Historic Rogue on the 23rd September he was then a close 2nd to Oneco Natasha on the 30th September! He finished 3rd when beaten just two lengths by Beattie on the 7th October and it was heartbreak again for his connections when he was beaten a ‘head’ by Droopys Ethel last Friday! He is sure to run well in the A8 at 2-47.

STEVIE dogs 005

Glenvale Stevie

GLENVALE STEVIE is in pretty good form and has been beaten just 1/2 a length on both his last two outings! He was a good 3rd to the in-form Sparta Flame on the 3rd October and the November 11 son of Paddys Flame ran a cracker to finish a 1/2 length 3rd to Kildare Fantasy in the CORAL.CO.UK Open race over 475 metres on the 8th October. ‘Stevie’ put in another good effort to finish 2nd to Whileyouwait in a D1 Sprint last Saturday. He should run well in the D1 Sprint at 3-48 where he lines up with kennel mate
LOCHYS BLUE BOY who is smart on his day and clocked 16.32 calculated when winning a three-dog trial on the 28th September! The December 11 son of Local Honcho has finished behind Sparta Flame twice since returning to action but the 14 times winner could run well here!

ANOTHER ME

Another Me

ANOTHER ME is a promising youngster who clocked his best time when winning on his last outing! The February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee had previously finished 2nd beaten just a ‘head’ by Droopys Lester on the 9th October. Another Me led at the third bend and ran on well to beat Angry Cookie just over a length in A6 grade last Wednesday. He clocked a very decent 30.42 when winning his 4th race at Hove and has every chance up in grade for the A5 at 4-27.

TIMBERLEE LAD was well beaten by Wilbrook Panther in a D2 Sprint on his Hove debut on the 26th September and the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene out of the dam Langan Timber suffered the same fate when stepping up to 515 metres for the first time in an A10 last Saturday. The youngster was beaten five lengths by Droopys Ferrer but will have gained valuable experience from the run and re-appears in the A10 at 5-22.

Greyhound_Independent_Jack

Independent Jack

INDEPENDENT JACK has been running well since stepping back up to 515 metres and clocked 30.37 when finishing a good 2nd to Woodmancote Jet in A5 grade on the 4th October. The August 2013 son of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club
didn’t have the best of runs when 4th to Tyrur Gabrielle on the 11th October but ran much better when 2nd last Friday. Sent off 5/2 joint-favourite he clocked 30.42 when finishing 2nd to Ballymac Magic and ‘Jack’ should have every chance in the A5 at 5-38.

LOBELIA has been showing signs of returning to form and was a good 3rd beaten less than two lengths by Moment Of Truth in A8 grade on the 3rd October! The July 11 daughter of Vans Escalade was sent off 7/4 favourite for an A8 on her last outing and led all the way to beat Flat Out Fagan by four lengths! Lobelia clocked 30.78 when winning for the 13th time at Hove and is put up in grade for the A7 at 5-56.

KILCOMMON has been running well and the August 13 son of Vans Escalade was sent off the 5/4 favourite for an A11 on the 4th October! He led all the way only to get caught on the run-in and was beaten 1/2 a length by No Rembrant. But Kilcommon made no mistake last Wednesday and saw the trip out well in A11 grade beating Sparta Storm just over ‘four’ lengths! Kilcommon picks up a ‘double’ penalty for that success and is put up ‘two’ grades for the A9 at 6-11.
