Thursday 29th October 2015 – HOVE Report
LISTRY ACE was sent off the 9/4 favourite for the A7 at 7-46 on her ‘debut’ run for the Norah Mac Racing Club. The October 12 daughter of Kinloch Brae had completed a quick-fire ‘double’ with wins over Baby Blueberry and Clever Buddy at the end of September and was runner-up to Express Cupid and Swift Holly on her last two outings! She showed good early pace and remained prominent despite suffering crowding at the third bend and clocked 30.77 (-20) 30.57 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten one and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Whoneeds Charity.
ANOTHER ME ran on well to beat Angry Cookie in A6 grade on the 14th October and sent off 5/2 favourite when up in grade for an A5 last Friday the February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee could be counted an unlucky loser! The promising youngster was baulked as he made his challenge and finally finished in 6th place behind Evanta Candyman. Made 2/1 favourite for last nights A5 at 8-02 he suffered crowding at the first and third bends and finished just over four lengths behind the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Luck. ‘Monty’ clocked 30.97 (-20) 30.77 calculated when finishing in 4th place.
AVIT ON ELSIE won in A8 grade on the 20th September beating Beattie a short-head and she led on the run-in to beat Miss Jolly by a length and a quarter in A7 grade on the 4th October! The July 12 daughter of Eden Brett had led on her last two runs but couldn’t last home! Sent off the 9/4 favourite for the A7 at 8-18 she was quick away but lost ground when crowded wide at the first bend and racing very wide at the second she faded to finish in 6th place clocking 31.37 (-20) 31.17 calculated when beaten almost four lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Hillside Stella.

COOLOGUE GEM has been running consistently well lately and the November 11 daughter of Seventh Jet has not been beaten far in her last three runs in A4 grade finishing 4th to Coolykereen Gold on the 4th October, 3rd to Nods Blue Boy on the 11th October and 4th to Who Needs Glory on the 21st October! The Dave Staddon owned stayer returned to Open company for the CORAL.CO.UK STAYERS – Duplicated Open race over 695 metres at 8-50 and the 7/1 chance ran a very decent race! Despite suffering crowding at the fifth bend Coologue Gem was beaten less than two lengths by the Kevin Hutton trained winner Jet Stream Trail and she clocked 41.96 calculated when finishing in 3rd place!

CALM PRECISION was a good 2nd to Brother Harry in a D1 Sprint on his Hove debut on the 17th October and the June 13 son of Droopys Scolari out of the dam Trionas Soprano ran on well to finish 3rd when beaten two lengths by Sister Tootsie last Sunday! The Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory owned runner was the 25/1 outsider for Heat 1 of the THURSDAY NIGHT 500 SPRINT Competition where a first three finish would have qualified him for the Final on Thursday 5th November. Unfortunately he suffered a very bad bump at the first bend when getting tangled with kennel mate Sizzlerscheyenne. Calm Precision clocked 17.13 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten eleven lengths by the Kevin Hutton trained winner Dragon Big Bux. SIZZLERSCHEYENNE had clocked 27.64 calculated when beating the Maxine Locke trained Alfjack by 1/2 a length over 475 metres on the 8th October! The August 12 son of Hondo Black owned by Dave and Joy Cook suffered crowding when finishing a well beaten 5th behind Ballymac Brogan in a Hove Open last Thursday! He couldn’t recover from the first bend crowding and clocked 17.14 calculated finishing a further short-head away in 6th place!

RACENIGHT TRISH ran well on her Hove debut on the 26th September where the February 13 daughter of Head Bound finished a 3/4 length 2nd to Wilbrook Panther. She was well beaten by kennel mate Sizzlers Apollo on her next outing but didn’t run badly when finishing 3rd to Boomtown Nidge last Saturday. Running in Open class for the first time the Norah McEllistrim owned runner ran very well to finish 2nd to the John Mullins trained Dashing Star in the CORAL.CO.UK STAYERS – Duplicated Open race over 695 metres at 10-11. Racenight Trish was slow away but stayed on well clocking 42.08 calculated when beaten three and a half lengths by the winner. BABY GOLD was a good 2nd to Varra Diamond when beaten 1/2 a length on the 10th October and the February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari who is owned by the Jaytee Syndicate ran a cracking race in A6 grade when finishing 2nd to Ballymac Pod on the 16th October! She had found trouble in running behind Maireads Twirl in an A6 last Sunday but back in Open company she led briefly at the second bend and despite one or two bumps she was only beaten just over five length by the winner. Baby Gold clocked 42.31 calculated finishing in 5th place.

Windy Warrior
WINDY WARRIOR is running well without getting his head in front! The March 13 son of Windy Millar has finished close up on his last six outings and he was only beaten just over two lengths when finishing 4th to Capoola Dawn in an A8 last Friday! Windy Warrior should run well in the A8 at 2-08.

Glenvale Stevie
GLENVALE STEVIE has been in pretty good form recently but the November 11 son of Paddys Flame didn’t get the best of runs in a D1 Sprint last Friday. He suffered crowding and was beaten just over three lengths by Swift Merlot but he would have every chance in the D1 Sprint at 2-47 if getting a clear run!
TIMBERLEE LAD has been well beaten in his three runs to date but the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene out of the dam Langan Timber is gaining valuable experience! He was beaten by Wilbrook Panther in a D2 Sprint on his Hove debut and the youngster was beaten around six lengths by both Droopys Ferrer and Nods Lily May in two runs over 515 metres and he is given a drop in grade for the A11 at 3-28.
DROOPYS RELAX was beaten by her sister Droopys Heat when they made their Hove debuts in a D2 Sprint last Saturday night! Droopys Relax made a slow start when finishing in 5th place beaten four and a half lengths by her sister! The February 14 daughter of Mall Brandy out of the dam Droopys Safina will come on for the experience and runs in the D2 Sprint at 4-08.

Data Olly
The in-form DATA OLLY has won two of his last five races and although the June 2013 son of Head Bound has been beaten on his last two runs he has clocked good times! A 5/1 chance for an A4 last Wednesday he clocked an impressive 30.39 calculated when finishing 3rd to Quivers Reef and he should run another good race in the A4 at 4-27.
CAUSEILOVEYOU has been in good form and got back to winning ways when beating
Angry Cookie by 3/4 of a length on the 7th October! The July 12 son of College Causeway ran another good race when finishing 2nd to Newtown Skipdots up in A5 grade on the 14th October. He wasn’t disgraced when 3rd to Droopys Six last Thursday and should have every chance in the A5 at 5-07.

Droopys Rives
DROOPYS RIVES has run well on his last three outings and was a good 2nd to Sister Tootsie in a D1 Sprint last Sunday. The July 13 son of Westmead Hawk loves to hug the rails and he clocked 16.65 sec when beaten just over a length by the winner! He takes on ‘one’ of his kennel mates in the D1 Sprint at 5-38. SIZZLERS APOLLO got off the mark at Hove in D2 grade on the 4th October clocking a very decent 16.48 when beating Bonny Nod just over a length! But the September 13 son of Droopys Scolari hasn’t enjoyed much luck up in D1 grade! He was well beaten by Your Decision on the 9th October and again by Bogcross Fish on the 16th October! LOCHYS BLUE BOY has been withdrawn from this race and is a non-runner.
ABBEYS ZENYATTA suffered a fall in a race on the 9th October and the April 13 daughter of Droopys Kewell was rested! She clocked 30.87 on her comeback Trial on the 17th October and was made a 4/1 chance for her return in A7 grade last Saturday! Unfortunately Abbeys Zenyatta suffered crowding at the first bend and finished 6th to Get On Pippa but she could go well in the A7 at 6-11 if getting a trouble-free run!
