Thursday 25th August 2016 – HOVE Report
FLACKWELL SPIRIT showed good early pace to lead at the first bend in A7 grade on the 17th August where he stayed on well to beat Clairekieth Rico by a length! The June 14 son of Taylors Sky clocked 30.63 calculated when winning his 4th race at Hove and was up in grade for the A6 at 7-06. A 6/1 chance he was baulked on the run-in and clocked 31.05 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten just under six lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Shed End Chelsea. Kennel mate DROOPYS TEQUILA was up in trip for an A7 on the 13th August where the September 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari showed good early pace and led all the way when beating May It Be by 1/2 a length. Droopys Tequila clocked 30.79 (Normal) when winning her 6th race at Hove and was also up in grade last night! A 9/2 chance she was baulked at the third bend and clocked 31.32 (Normal) when finishing in 6th place beaten just over nine lengths by the winner.
SIZZLERS APOLLO clocked 30.77 (Normal) when beating Glencorbry Cara by a short-head in A8 grade on the 14th August! The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari was up in grade for an A7 last Friday and he followed up in fine style when beating Maireads Mist by six lengths! Sizzlers Apollo clocked a very impressive 30.28 calculated when winning his 7th race at Hove and was put up ‘two’ grades for the A5 at 8-07. Sent off the 5/2 favourite he led from the first bend to near the line when finishing 2nd to the Derek Knight trained winner Liosgarbh Andy. Clocking 30.83 (-10) 30.73 calculated Sizzlers Apollo was beaten just over a length! Kennel mate SATELLITE FEVER was slow away in A5 grade last Friday and after suffering crowding at the first and fourth bends the February 12 son of College Causeway clocked 31.04 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten six lengths by Miomi. A 6/1 chance last night he was baulked at the first bend and clocked 31.09 (-10) 30.99 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just over four lengths by the winner.
TIMBERLEE LASS clocked 31.46 (Normal) when beating Nods Lucy by 3/4 of a length in A11 grade on the 11th August! The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was sent off 3/1 joint-favourite for an A11 last Friday but was crowded at the first and fourth bends! Clocking 31.58 (Normal) she finished in 6th place beaten five and a half lengths by Ellaha Diamond and was a 5/1 chance for the A11 at 8-22. Sadly she was held up in her run and clocked 31.65 (-10) 31.55 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten just under five lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Isaacs Princess.
ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN was a 3/1 chance for an A5 last Saturday and the September 13 son of Westmead Hawk held every chance clocking 30.89 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten just 3/4 of a length by Carlyle Paddy. ‘Rocky’ was sent off a 5/2 chance last night having been given a drop in grade for the A6 at 9-22 and he again held every chance despite finishing in 5th place! Clocking 30.75 (-10) 30.65 calculated he was beaten just two lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Limiting.

GLENVALE STEVIE
GLENVALE STEVIE was badly baulked at the first bend and clocked 16.88 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just over six lengths by Forest Fuseler in a D1 Sprint last Friday. The November 11 son of Paddys Flame is back in action for the D1 Sprint at 2-08.

ASSERT
ASSERT made a slow start and clocked 31.03 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten seven lengths by Gringos Tally in A5 grade on the 14th August. The July 14 son of Skywalker Ace is given a drop in grade for the A6 at 3-07.
DROOPYS LUNAR led all the way clocking 30.67 (Normal) when beating Jump The Gun by almost five lengths in A8 grade on the 5th August! The November 13 daughter of Droopys Cain was up in grade for an A7 on the 11th August where she suffered crowding at the second bend and clocked 31.12 (Normal) when finishing 5th beaten three and a half lengths by Coolykereen Dame. Droopys Lunar runs in the A7 at 4-27.
KILCOMMON led from the first bend until suffering crowding at the 3/4 mark and the August 13 son of Vans Escalade clocked 31.34 calculated when finishing 6th beaten six and a half lengths by Swift Holly in A8 grade last Friday. Kilcommon is given a drop in grade for the A9 at 5-07.
DATA OLLY ran on well to clock 30.56 calculated when beating Droopys Bologna by 3/4 of a length in A5 grade on the 17th August! The June 13 son of Head Bound was up in grade for an A4 last Saturday and he again ran on well to clock 30.72 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten four lengths by Unfashionable. Data Olly lines up for the A4 at 5-22.

BALIBO MAGS was sent off 11/4 favourite for a ROMFORD v HOVE INTER-TRACK RACE over 400 metres on the 10th August. Taking her first look at the London Road track ‘Mags’ showed good early pace and led from the first bend to power away for a sparkling win over the Philip Simmonds trained Kennedy Flair. Clocking 24.45 calculated the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate beat the local runner by almost five lengths and she stepped up to Open class for the first time in the THE MARK NOLLER 40TH BIRTHDAY STAKES at 9-56 last night. Again showing good early pace she led from the second bend to the third when finishing 2nd to the impressive Crossfield James who is trained by Seamus Cahill. Balibo Mags clocked 24.56 calculated when beaten four lengths by the winner. Balibo Mags is back at Romford tonight and she lines up for Heat 1 of the CHAMPIONS NIGHT BITCHES Competition at 9-40 where a first ‘three’ finish will see her qualify for the Final on Wednesday 31st August.
