Thursday 14th September 2017 – HOVE Report
PALACE PRINCESS was 4th beaten just over five lengths by Cloheena Hooley last Sunday and the May 15 daughter of Godsend owned by the Nineteen Syndicate was made a 7/2 chance now down in grade for the A6 at 7-01. Unable to gain a clear run she was held up at the 1st and 3rd bends and clocking 30.84 (Normal) finished in 6th place beaten just under seven lengths by the Derek Knight trained winner Mineola Duke.
FLACKWELL SPIRIT led all the way when beating Brinkleys Jet by a length and a half in a D2 Sprint last Sunday but the June 14 son of Taylors Sky owned by Steve Barton was sent off a 20/1 chance for Heat 3 of the MAIDEN SPRINT COMPETITION at 8-52. Baulked at 1/2 way he finished in 5th place clocking 16.97 (Normal) when beaten seven lengths by Macumu who is trained by Richard Rees.
SIZZLERSCHEYENNE was beaten just under two lengths by Westmead Julie in a D1 Sprint on Sunday but back in Open company the August 12 son of Hondo Black owned by Dave and Joy Cook was sent off a 16/1 shot for the VISIT CORAL.CO.UK 475 at 9-22. Despite making a slow start to the race he was never far away and clocking 28.23 (Normal) he finished in 6th place beaten just over four lengths by the Matt Dartnall trained winner Away Shelly.
