SPEAK OUT LILLY won 3 races during December and her last success came on the 21st January but she resumed winning ways when taking the A6 at 7-46 in fine style! The November 2012 daughter of Kinlock Brae showed good early pace and led throughout beating the Wendy Short trained runner-up Droopys Lester by almost two lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim Speak Out Lilly clocked a decent 30.76 (-30) 30.46 calculated and was winning for the 8th time at Hove!

SIZZLERS EAGLE has got a superb strike rate! The April 2013 son of Timor Blue has now won 8 of his 14 races! Quick away he always led in Heat 1 of the Coral Easter Sprint Open race to qualify for next Thursday’s Final. Owned by Dave and Joy Cook Sizzlers Eagle clocked 16.43 (-15) 16.28 calculated when beating The Seamus Cahill trained Go Katie Go by one and threequarter lengths! All of his 8 wins have come at Hove and 4 of them in Open class! Glenvale Stevie was in contention and making headway when badly baulked on the run-in. He had to settle for 4th place clocking 16.84 (-15) 16.69 calculated five length behind the winner.

Lochys Blue Boy was a good winner last time but was unable to re-produce that run after being baulked at the first bend in Heat 2 of the Coral Easter Sprint Open race! Lochys Blue Boy was beaten six lengths by the Anthony Collett trained winner Lenson Tiggy clocking 16.84 (-15) 16.58 calculated when finishing in 6th place.

Grisedale Girl is in superb form and the improving youngster has not finished out of the first two in her four starts at Hove! With only a D2 graded win to her credit the April 2013 daughter of Timor Blue stepped up to Open class for the first time! Heading the market for Heat 3 of the Coral Easter Sprint Open race was the Hayley Keightley trained top class performer Target Harris who was sent off the 1/5 favourite! He was an impressive winner but Grisedale Girl ran her best race to date when finishing in 2nd place to qualify for the Final! Holding every chance the Bob Boswell owned bitch clocked 16.56 (-15) 16.41 calculated when getting within three and a half lengths of the hot-shot! Fairhill Frankie had won a D2 graded sprint on his last outing but was sent off a 33/1 chance and being crowded at 1/2 way found it tougher at this level and clocked 16.94 (-15) 16.79 calculated finishing in 6th place beaten just over eight lengths by the winner.

The Norah Mac Racing Clubs Leathems Desire finished a good 2nd in the Coral Standard Open race and was beaten just 1/2 a length by the Paul Young trained winner Bubbly Beauty. The raced was marred by the fall of Droopys Gooch at the 3rd bend and most of the runners were affected. Leathems Desire was baulked but he ran on well clocking 30.43 (-30) 30.13 calculated in the runners-up spot!

The Norah Mac Racing Clubs Droopys Tomford stepped up to 515 metres for the first time in the Maiden Open race. The race was won by the Seamus Cahill trained Fanore Assasin who clocked the fastest time of the year (29.71 calculated) in doing so! Droopys Tomford was slow away and crowded on the run-up and clocked 30.76 (-30) 30.46 calculated finishing in 6th place.
