Two Kennel Winners At 2014 BGOA Awards

‘VETERAN OF THE YEAR’ AWARD FOR DONNAS GIFT
Congratulations to Norah and the Kennel Team as their hard work was rewarded last night as two of our “senior” greyhounds won awards for their efforts during 2013. HANOVER LADY and DONNAS GIFT both proved winners off the track as much as they are on it when collecting the awards at the 2014 Brighton Greyhound Owners Association Awards at Hove Greyhound Stadium last night.
HANOVER LADY won the ‘Sprinter of the Year’ award!
HANOVER LADY is owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club and the 12th Feb 2009 daughter of Hondo Black out of the dam Westmead Nicole has raced 111 times winning 23 races and has been runner-up 20 times! Hanover Lady won 9 Hove Sprint races during 2013 and recorded a fastest time of 16.39
Hanover Lady has won a total of 17 races at Hove and 6 races at Wimbledon throughout her career!
DONNAS GIFT won the ‘Veteran of the Year’ award!
DONNAS GIFT is owned by Patrick O’Grady and Gaynor Renwick and the 8th Aug 2008 son of Ballymac Maeve out of the dam Crazy Jane has raced 123 times winning 27 races and has been runner-up 13 times! Donnas Gift won 9 races at Hove during 2013 and recorded a fastest time of 30.05
Donnas Gift has won a total of 13 races at Hove, 4 at Sheffield, 2 at Dundalk and 8 at Lifford throughout his career!
Well done to both winners and their connections and both greyhounds get a chance to add to their impressive stats as they are both in action at Hove on Sunday! Good luck to both!
ZARA TWO only just missed out on the award for Most Improved Grader. He was joint runner-up having climbed the grades from A8 to A1 class!
ZARA TWO is owned by Janet Mallot, Alan Spriggs, Carol Spriggs and Norah McEllistrim and the Feb 2011 son of Premier Fantasy out of the dam Borna Fastner has raced 57 times winning 16 races and has been runner-up 8 times! Zara Two won 14 races at Hove during 2013 and recorded a fastest time of 29.91
Zara Two has won a total of 15 races at Hove and 1 at Poole throughout his career!
