Update and plans w/e 15/04…
Hove Saturday 14/4 Social
Norah has decided to keep the ‘social’ simple on Saturday, saving the ‘big guns’ for a Bubbles’ organised event in June.
The plan is to have a general base around the bar to the right of the main entrance on the ground floor. Here, Norah will ‘meet and greet’ and we can chat over our chances of winners and check out the stadium for future plans.
Remember to log your registration number on the machine to avoid the risk of a fine – entry is organised if following the instructions in the e-mail or on the notice in the Owners’ Lounge at the kennels.
All club connections are welcome to present the trophies for our club-sponsored races on the night.
There’s a charity walk by a young lad who is raising funds for the Retired Greyhounds. Norah and the club are offering some financial support through contributions on Saturday night. Check out the details here: http://www.hovedogs.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=16207&hl=&fromsearch=1

The club has runners on Saturday night which is great news. We have Droopys Leonard having his first run for the club. This at 9.24pm, an A3, a race which is sponsored by … the Norahmac Racing Club!
In a later A3, at 10.13pm, Woody (Fleetwood Rocker) takes to the Nevill Road sands. I’ve little to offer in the way of discussing their chances as it’s all so new for them and us. Fingers crossed for safe passages.
The kennel has another four representatives on the night so good luck to all connections.
Open Races
The kennel has three representatives in Derby Trial Stakes at Wimbledon on Saturday: Cloheena Cash, French Blue and Droopys Patsy. Good luck to them and their connections for the coming Blue Riband Event.
Sunday sees emerging Open-class Hurdler Druids Gaffney take a tilt at the £750 Category Three Hurdle Final at Sittingbourne. He’s shown improved form to get this far and needs a career best performance to grab gold.
Review
It was a great send-off last Saturday in the executive boxes with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to Jim Cremin for his great report in the Racing Post . A copy of the report and pictures of the evenings events can be found via the Media Gallery page.
