Update for week to 24th…
Monday’s trials at Hove
Good news from the south coast as Woody (Fleetwood Rocker) came back safe and sound following a decent display (for a stayer) in his sprint trial. Our blue clocked 16.88 (.15 slow) which stood up well to the other sprint trials and, in context, keeps him very much on track for a competitive reappearance in the coming weeks.
New recruit, Droopys Leonard, clocked third best time of the session in 30.66 (.25 slow) which is pretty exciting for a youngster still a few weeks shy of his second birthday. Fingers crossed as he’s still short of full fitness.
The overall experience at the track was first class which was, obviously, helped by glorious sunshine and decent results.
Track bookmaker and local celebrity Chas Miller, who had shown up to see a young dog trial, was welcoming and looks forward to taking our money! He’s promised to pose for a new ‘old enemy’ photo for our home page once we switch tracks and ‘look after’ Norahmac owners as and when we wager at his pitch.
Preview
It’s a case of deja vu this weekend with our club dogs lining up at Plough Lane in much the same shape as these past few weeks.
Horse Outside contests the A1 on Friday at 9.42. The frame of the race and a red jacket gives our boy a fighting chance. Fingers crossed.
Wendy (Hanover Lady) also has the inside berth in the final contest on Friday, an A2. There’s little left to be said about our blue girl who isn’t finding life easy at this level but always gives of her best.
Oscar (Lima Oscar) takes to the sand in the last on Saturday, an A2. As with Wendy he’s pretty exposed at this level but holds chances should the cards fall his way.

It’s getting close to final call for the WGOA awards night on May 6th. If you’ve yet to book let Bob Boswell know (or one of the co-ordinators).
There’s no confirmed news of Norah’s transition dates. When they are confirmed they will be posted here and on the Owners’ Lounge noticeboard at the kennels.
