‘WATCH MATT’ QUALIFIES FOR OWNERS BONUS SERIES FINAL!

Winners
The last win for WATCH MATT came on the 12th April 2014 but having just completed a century of races the veteran pops up as the 10/1 outsider to qualify for next Thursdays Owners Bonus Series Final when winning Heat 1 of the D2 Sprint competition at 9-40. The July 2010 son of Kinloch Brae rewarded his patient owners Debbie Williams and Mick McCrory with a text book sprint win! Showing good early pace, railing well, he led at the first bend and stayed on strongly to beat the Paul Garland trained Newtown Skiprob who qualified in 2nd place. ‘Matt’ clocked 16.93 (-15) 16.78 calculated beating the runner-up by a length and a quarter! This was a 16th career win for Watch Matt who has 9 wins at Hove and 7 wins at Hall Green on his card!
MINEOLA PROF recorded a good win in the A3 at 7-46 clocking his best time round Hove! Owned by Dave Staddon the May 2012 son of College Causeway has been in excellent form of late! Sent off a 3/1 chance he clocked a fast 30.48 (-30) 30.18 calculated when beating the Dean Childs trained Greenhill Star just over three lengths! Despite crowding at the first bend Mineola Prof led at the second before going on to win his 9th race at Hove. He also has a Derry win on his Irish card!
How Our Other Runners Fared
Sizzlers Magpie was the 14/1 outsider for Heat 2 of the Owners Bonus Series D2 Sprint at 9-56 but she suffered crowding at the first bend before being badly baulked on the run-in! Sizzlers Magpie clocked 17.44 (-15) 17.29 calculated finishing in 5th place just under six lengths behind the Claude Gardiner trained Ballinlough Boss.
Fairhill Frankie was sent off the 9/4 second favourite for Heat 3 of the Owners Bonus Series D2 Sprint at 10-11 but blew his chance with a slow break! He clocked 17.13 (-15) 16.98 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten five lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Anto Markos Rose.

Friday 27th February 2015 – HOVE Runners
A quality D1 Sprint opens the Hove card at 2-08 and we supply ‘three’ of the runners! Droopys Rives, a July 13 son of Westmead Hawk, is on a hat-trick after two impressive wins! Glenvale Stevie bounced back to form winning in a fast time on Saturday night after a two months lay-off! Lochys Blue Boy had been off-colour but showed his well being in a decent trial on Monday and has a good record in Hove Sprints!
Judicial Babe – 18 Hove Wins!
Judicial Babe finished 5th but was only beaten 1 length in a blanket finish last time! She has 18 career wins on her card and runs in the A9 at 3-07.
Avit On Beryl runs in the A7 at 3-48. She has held every chance on her last two outings and was only beaten a couple of lengths each time!
