WINNERS

SPIDERMAN led at the first bend and clocked 16.48 (Normal) when beating Jackals Pavlova by 1/2 a length in a D1 Sprint on the 10th August! The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was a 5/2 chance for a D1 Sprint last Friday where he led to the run-in when beaten just a ‘neck’ by Starchill Oak. Clocking 16.55 calculated Spiderman finished in 2nd place and was made 7/4 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 4-47. Showing good early pace he led all the way when beating the Seamus Cahill trained Guinness Sun by 1/2 a length! Owned by Mr J. Ford Spiderman clocked an impressive 16.38 (Normal) when winning his 8th race at Hove!

And ‘Marys Boy’ Makes It A Double!

MARYS BOY was sent off 6/4 favourite when given a drop in grade for a D3 Sprint last Thursday but he was slow away and baulked at the first bend! The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay recovered and led to the run-in clocking 17.02 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just 1/2 a length by Forever Man. He was sent off the 7/4 favourite for the D3 Sprint at 5-38 and showing good early pace to be prominent he took up the running at 1/2 way. Reversing last Thursday’s form he held the late challenge of Paul Garland’s Forever Man to win by a short-head! Owned by Mr J. Ford Marys Boy clocked 16.73 (Normal) when winning his 2nd race at Hove and giving his owner a ‘double’ on the day!

How Our Other Runners Fared

DROOPYS RIVES was slow away and crowded at the first bend in a D2 Sprint last Friday and always in mid division he was beaten just under two lengths by Roses Risk. Finishing in 4th place the July 13 son of Westmead Hawk clocked 16.92 (Normal) and was a 5/2 chance for the D2 Sprint at 2-27. After making a slow start ‘River’ stumbled when baulked at the second bend and clocked 17.34 (-5) 17.29 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just over six lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Solo.

FANORE BREEZE clocked 30.58 (Normal) when beating Maireads Ivy by just over six lengths in A6 grade on the 13th August. The December 12 daughter of Crash was up in grade for an A5 last Saturday night. Quick away she led to the third bend before suffering crowding and clocked 31.08 calculated when finishing 4th beaten three lengths by Carlyle Paddy. A 7/2 chance for the A5 at 3-48 Fanore Breeze suffered crowding at the first and third bends and clocked 30.90 (-10) 30.80 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just over five lengths by Daylens Volcano who is trained by Jason Heath.

BABY GOLD ran on well clocking 30.87 calculated when beating Suirview Boris by 3/4 of a length in A8 grade on the 12th August! The February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was up in grade for an A7 last Saturday and she ran on well to finish in 2nd place clocking 30.86 calculated when beaten a length and a half by Rabbits Precious. Sent off a 4/1 chance for the A7 at 4-08 she ran on well after suffering crowding at the first bend and clocked 31.38 (-10) 31.28 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over three lengths by the Derek Knight trained winner Maireads Mist. Kennel mate BALLYSTEEN STAR showed good early pace and led at the 1/4 mark before keeping on well to beat Suirview Boris by a length in A8 grade last Wednesday! The July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari  clocked 30.89 (Normal) when opening her Hove account and was up in grade today! Sadly she was crowded and baulked in running and clocked 31.92 (-10) 31.82 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten ten lengths by the winner.

BARNISH PETER finished 6th behind Baran Texas in A4 grade on the 17th June. The February 12 son of Top Honcho clocked 30.56 calculated when beating Dinner Ashmole by almost two lengths in a 3-dog Trial on the 18th August and he returned from injury to run in the A5 at 5-22. A 6/1 chance he clocked 30.75 (Normal) after making a slow start and finished in 4th place beaten just over six lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Inislosky Mull.

Thursday 25th August 2016  –  HOVE Runners

DROOPYS TEQUILA was back up in trip for an A7 on the 13th August and the September 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari showed good early pace and soon led when beating May It Be by 1/2 a length. Droopys Tequila clocked 30.79 (Normal) when winning for the 6th time at Hove! Kennel mate FLACKWELL SPIRIT showed good early pace to lead at the first bend in A7 grade last Wednesday and he stayed on well to beat Clairekieth Rico by a length! The June 14 son of Taylors Sky  clocked 30.63 calculated when winning his 4th race at Hove! Both our runners are up in grade for the A6 at 7-06.

SATELLITE FEVER

SIZZLERS APOLLO clocked 30.77 (Normal) when beating Glencorbry Cara by a short-head in A8 grade on the 14th August! The September 13 son of Droopys Scolari was 9/4 favourite when up in grade for an A7 last Friday and he followed up in fine style when beating Maireads Mist by six lengths! Sizzlers Apollo clocked a very impressive 30.28 calculated when winning his 7th race at Hove and is put up ‘two’ grades for the A5 at 8-07. Kennel mate SATELLITE FEVER was slow away in A5 grade last Friday and after suffering crowding at the first and fourth bends the February 12 son of College Causeway clocked 31.04 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten six lengths by Miomi.

TIMBERLEE LASS

TIMBERLEE LASS clocked 31.46 (Normal) when beating Nods Lucy by 3/4 of a length in A11 grade on the 11th August! The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was sent off 3/1 joint-favourite for an A11 last Friday but was crowded at the first and fourth bends! Clocking 31.58 (Normal) she finished in 6th place beaten five and a half lengths by Ellaha Diamond and now lines up for the A11 at 8-22.

ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN

ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN was a 3/1 chance for an A5 last Saturday and the September 13 son of Westmead Hawk held every chance clocking 30.89 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten just 3/4 of a length by Carlyle Paddy. ‘Rocky’ is given a drop in grade for the A6 at 9-22.
