‘Timberlee Lass’ Pips ‘Lucy’ Again!

TIMBERLEE LASS clocked 31.46 (Normal) when beating Nods Lucy in A11 grade on the 11th August but she was held up in her run and clocked 31.55 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just under five lengths by Isaacs Princess in A11 grade on the 25th August. The April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene was a 7/1 chance for the A11 at 2-08 but she got up near the line to beat her old rival Nods Lucy who is trained by Jason Heath by a neck! Owned by Diane Benson & Norah McEllistrim Timberlee Lass clocked 31.29 (-20) 31.09 calculated when winning her 4th race at Hove!

5th Hove Win For Flackwell Spirit!

FLACKWELL SPIRIT stayed on well to clock 30.63 calculated when beating Clairekieth Rico by a length in A7 grade on the 17th August! The June 14 son of Taylors Sky was up in grade for an A6 last Thursday but was baulked on the run-in and clocked 31.05 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten just under six lengths by Shed End Chelsea. Sent off a 5/1 shot for the A6 at 3-07 he led from 1/2 way when beating the Richard Rees trained Trapper Charlie by just over one length! Owned by Steve Barton Flackwell Spirit clocked 31.15 (-20) 30.95 calculated  and was winning for the 5th time at Hove!

‘Gelert The Great’ Gets Up To Win!

GELERT THE GREAT won 5 races at Perry Barr before joining the Norah Mac kennel. He got off the mark at Hove winning 2 races in June but he was brought down in an A7 on the 18th August! The May 14 son of Westmead Hawk was rested and clocked 30.56 calculated when beating Seanachie Girl by almost eight lengths in a 3-dog Trial over 515 metres on the 27th August and he returned for the A7 at 5-56. A 7/2 chance he was slow away and baulked at the first bend but running on well he got up to beat the Jason Heath trained Wonkers Lad by a short-head! Owned by Paul Tomlin & Sophie Tomlin Gelert The Great clocked 30.97 (-20) 30.77 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

BALLYSTEEN STAR kept on well to clock 30.89 (Normal) when beating Suirview Boris by a length in A8 grade on the 17th August! The July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari suffered crowding and clocked 31.82 calculated when finishing 6th beaten ten lengths by Maireads Mist up in A7 grade last Wednesday but was dropped down for the A8 at 2-47. A 9/2 chance she was challenging for the lead when baulked at the fourth bend! Clocking 31.35 (-20) 31.15 calculated she finished in 4th place beaten five lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Clairkeith Sky.

GLENVALE STEVIE was 3/1 joint-favourite for a D1 Sprint last Friday but he suffered crowding at 1/2 way and clocked 16.87 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by Dark Sky. The November 11 son of Paddys Flame was a 4/1 chance for the D1 Sprint at 3-28 but he found trouble at the first bend after making a slow start. Clocking 16.91 (-10) 16.81 calculated ‘Stevie’ finished in 5th place beaten just under two lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Jumeirah Henry.

ASSERT was given a drop in grade for an A6 last Friday where he ran on well after making a slow start to beat Scala Spark by almost two lengths! The July 14 son of Skywalker Ace clocked 30.56 calculated when winning his 2nd race at Hove and he was back up in grade for the A5 at 3-48. A 6/1 chance he ran on well after suffering crowding at the fourth bend and clocked 30.87 (-20) 30.67 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten three lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Growling Violet.

DATA OLLY ran on well after making a slow start in A4 grade last Friday and clocked 30.64 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over five lengths by Miomi. The June 13 son of Head Bound was a 3/1 chance for the A4 at 4-27. Baulked at the third bend after another slow start he clocked 30.88 (-20) 30.68 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten two lengths by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Dunquin Lodge.

ANOTHER ME found ‘trouble’ in running and clocked 16.78 calculated when finishing 5th beaten three lengths by Starchill Oak in a D1 Sprint on the 19th August. The February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee clocked 30.47 calculated when beating Cross Trick  by over five lengths in a 3-dog Trial over 515 metres on the 25th August and was a 3/1 chance for the A3 at 5-07. ‘Monty’ made a brave attempt to make all but he was caught on the line by Rustic Charm who is trained by Doreen Walsh. Another Me clocked 30.80 (-20) 30.60 calculated beaten just a ‘neck’ in 2nd place!

DROOPYS RIVES was a 5/2 chance for a D2 Sprint last Wednesday but he made a slow start and stumbled when baulked at the second bend! Clocking 17.29 calculated the July 13 son of Westmead Hawk finished 6th beaten just over six lengths by Guinness Solo but was made a 3/1 co-favourite for the D2 Sprint at 5-22. Baulked at the first bend after a slow start ‘River’ clocked 16.96 (-10) 16.86 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under two lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Rock Of Kinloch. Kennel mate MARYS BOY was a winner in D3 grade on the 24th August! The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay took up the running at 1/2 way and clocked 16.73 (Normal) when holding the late challenge of Forever Man to win by a short-head! Up in grade for a D2 Sprint last Sunday he ran on well after making a slow start and clocked 16.88 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over two lengths by Imaginary Impact. Like ‘Droopys Rives’ he was baulked at the first bend after making a slow start today and clocked 17.13 (-10) 17.03 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten just under four lengths by the winner.

KILCOMMON was given a drop in grade for an A9 last Friday and although the August 13 son of Vans Escalade finished in 2nd place he was beaten almost seven lengths by Champagne Maura. Kilcommon clocked 31.06 (Normal) in the runners up spot and lined up for the A9 at 6-11. Sent off the 10/1 outsider he showed good early pace and led to the third bend! Clocking 31.22 (-20) 31.02 calculated he finished in 4th place beaten just under two lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Warnham Star.
