WINNER
MARYS BOY clocked 16.73 (Normal) when beating Forever Man in a D3 Sprint on the 24th August. He clocked 17.03 calculated when finishing 6th beaten just under four lengths by Rock Of Kinloch in a D2 Sprint on the 31st August. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was a 6/1 chance for a D2 Sprint last Saturday but was baulked at the first bend and clocked 16.98 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just under two lengths by Swift Batten. Marys Boy was a 3/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 4-08 and he got back to winning ways when leading all the way to beat the Seamus Cahill trained Guinness Brave by a short-head! Owned by Mr J. Ford Marys Boy clocked 16.77 (+5) 16.82 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
BALLYSTEEN STAR clocked 30.89 (Normal) when beating Suirview Boris by a length in A8 grade on the 17th August! The July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari clocked 31.82 calculated when finishing 6th beaten ten lengths by Maireads Mist up in A7 grade on the 24th August. Dropped down to A8 grade on the 31st August she clocked 31.15 calculated when finishing 4th beaten five lengths by Clairkeith Sky and was a 3/1 chance for the A8 at 2-08. Showing good pace to the bend she soon moved into a challenging position and although she closed on the leader at the fourth bend she had to settle for 2nd place! Clocking 30.74 (Normal) she was beaten two lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Five.
DROOPYS TEQUILA clocked 31.32 (Normal) when finishing 6th beaten just over nine lengths by Shed End Chelsea in A6 grade on the 25th August. The September 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a 5/1 chance for an A6 last Friday where she led to the run-in clocking 30.63 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just over a length by Lough Mosshie. 2/1 favourite for the A6 at 2-27 she ran another good race when finishing 2nd to Albion Blue who is trained by Jason Heath. Clocking 30.66 (Normal) she challenged on the run but failed to peg back the winner by just a length! Kennel mate BABY GOLD got back to winning ways when producing a gutsy effort to beat Glencorbry Cara by 3/4 of a length in A7 grade on 27th August. Staying on late she got up close to home clocking 30.82 calculated when winning her 7th race at Hove! The February 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari was up in A6 grade last Friday and after suffering crowding on the run-up she clocked 30.98 calculated when finishing 6th beaten just under six lengths by Lough Mosshie. A 7/1 shot today she held every chance clocking 30.71 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten just under two lengths by the winner.
FANORE BREEZE clocked 30.77 calculated when finishing 5th beaten three and a half lengths by Get On Amber in A5 grade on the 28th August. The December 12 daughter of Crash was given a drop in grade for an A6 last Thursday and was sent off the 9/4 favourite! She faded to finish in 3rd place clocking 30.72 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by Weathercockwalsh and was a 4/1 chance for the A6 at 3-07. Clocking a decent 30.38 (+10) 30.48 calculated she held every chance when finishing in 2nd place beaten just a length and a half by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Evanta Candyman.
GLENVALE STEVIE clocked 16.87 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under four lengths by Dark Sky in a D1 Sprint on the 26th August. The November 11 son of Paddys Flame was a 4/1 chance for a D1 Sprint on the 31st August but he found trouble at the first bend and clocked 16.81 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under two lengths by Jumeirah Henry. ‘Stevie’ was back in action for the D1 Sprint at 3-28 but a slow break was followed by crowding at the first bend and he clocked 16.89 (+5) 16.94 calculated when finishing in 6th place beaten two and a half lengths by Roses Risk who is trained by Derek Knight.
BALIBO RUBY was caught right on the line when beaten a ‘neck’ by Romeo Bravo in A7 grade on the 28th August. Clocking 30.68 calculated the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate finished in 2nd place and she was made 7/4 favourite for her next outing but ‘Ruby’ again had to settle for 2nd place! Clocking 30.80 calculated she was beaten just over three lengths by Albion Blue and ‘Ruby’ was looking to go one place better in the A7 at 3-48. Sent off the 9/4 favourite she disputed the lead from the second to the fourth bend! Clocking 30.66 (+10) 30.76 calculated ‘Ruby’ finished in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Swift Cleopatra.
KILCOMMON clocked 31.02 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten just under two lengths by Warnham Star in A9 grade on the 31st August. The August 13 son of Vans Escalade lined up for an A9 on Sunday but suffered first bend crowding and clocked 31.20 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under four lengths by Elusive Pearl. Kilcommon was a 9/2 chance for the A9 at 4-47 and showing good early pace he led to the run-in clocking 30.83 (+10) 30.93 calculated in 3rd place when beaten just under two lengths by Bayliss Boy who is trained by Jason Heath.
BALIBO MAGS was at Romford on the 26th August for Heat 1 of the CHAMPIONS NIGHT BITCHES Competition but she was forced to check on the run-up and clocked 24.58 calculated when finishing 5th beaten five lengths by the top class Evanta Fantasy who is trained by Mark Wallis. The July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was a 14/1 chance for Heat 2 of the HOVE THURSDAY NIGHT 500 – DUAL DISTANCE Competition last Thursday but she suffered crowding at the first bend and clocked 16.70 calculated when finishing 5th beaten six lengths by Swift Watson. Back in graded action for the A4 at 5-22 ‘Mags’ was sent off the 5/2 joint-favourite and showing good early pace she led to the run-in! Baulked coming off the last bend she clocked 30.68 (+10) 30.78 calculated when finishing in 3rd place beaten one and a half lengths by Brickhill Jacksy who is trained by Doreen Walsh.
ASSERT clocked 30.67 calculated when finishing 4th beaten three lengths by Growling Violet in A5 grade on the 31st August. The July 14 son of Skywalker Ace was a 4/1 chance for an A5 last Sunday where he ran on well after finding ‘trouble’ at the third bend and clocking 30.72 calculated he finished 3rd beaten just under two lengths by Dinner Osidge. Assert was a 5/1 chance for the A5 at 5-38 and he led from the second bend to the fourth clocking 30.96 (+10) 31.06 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten just a length by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Janes Blaze.
