Wednesday 14th September 2016  –  HOVE Report

MARYS BOY clocked 16.98 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten just under two lengths by Swift Batten in a D2 Sprint on the 3rd September. But the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay got back to winning ways when leading all the way to beat Guinness Brave by a short-head last Wednesday! Marys Boy clocked 16.82 calculated when winning for the 3rd time at Hove and was a 5/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 2-27 today! Slow away he clocked 16.76 (Normal) when finishing in 4th place beaten just over a length by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Guinness Solo. Kennel mate DROOPYS RIVES kept on well to beat Get On Joe by a neck in a D2 Sprint on the 4th September! The July 13 son of Westmead Hawk clocked 16.90 calculated when winning his 11th race at Hove and was sent off 7/4 joint-favourite for a D2 Sprint last Thursday. Slow away and crowded at the second bend he clocked 16.85 (Normal) when finishing 3rd beaten four lengths by Imaginary Impact. ‘River’ was a 3/1 chance today and like Marys Boy he was also slow away! Clocking 16.90 (Normal) he finished in 5th place beaten three lengths by the winner.

BALIBO MAGS clocked 16.70 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten six lengths by Swift Watson in a Hove Open race sprint on the 1st September. She was back in graded action for an A4 last Wednesday and the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was sent off the 5/2 joint-favourite! Having led to the run-in she was baulked coming off the last bend and ‘Mags’ clocked 30.78 calculated when finishing 3rd beaten one and a half lengths by Brickhill Jacksy and she was a 5/2 chance lining up for the A4 at 2-47. Quick away she led to the third bend but suffering crowding at the 3/4 mark she tired to finish in 4th place clocking 30.99 (Normal) when beaten four lengths by Liosgarbh Andy who is trained by Derek Knight.

FANORE BREEZE faded to finish in 3rd place clocking 30.72 calculated when beaten just under five lengths by Weathercockwalsh in A6 grade on the 1st September. The December 12 daughter of Crash was a 4/1 chance for an A6 last Wednesday where she held every chance clocking a decent 30.48 calculated when finishing 2nd beaten just a length and a half by Evanta Candyman. Fanore Breeze was 5/2 joint-favourite for the A6 at 3-28 where she broke well and led to the third bend. Unable to keep up the gallop she clocked 30.94 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place beaten two and a half lengths by the Ken Tester trained winner Nowhere Man.

KILCOMMON suffered first bend crowding and clocked 31.20 calculated when finishing 5th beaten just under four lengths by Elusive Pearl in A9 grade on the 4th September. The August 13 son of Vans Escalade was a 9/2 chance for an A9 last Wednesday and showing good early pace he led to the run-in clocking 30.93 calculated when 3rd beaten just under two lengths by Bayliss Boy. A 9/2 chance for the A9 at 4-27 he showed good early pace and led to the run-in! Clocking 31.33 (Normal) he finished in 3rd place beaten just under two lengths by Punk Rock Girl who is trained by Ken Tester.

ANOTHER ME made a brave attempt to make all but was caught on the line by Rustic Charm in A3 grade on the 31st August. The February 14 son of Shaneboy Lee clocked 30.60 calculated when beaten just a ‘neck’ in 2nd place and was a 3/1 chance for an A3 last Thursday. ‘Monty’ disputed the lead throughout and all six runners hit the line as one in a ‘blanket’ finish but Another Me had to settle for 5th place! Clocking 30.74 (Normal) he was beaten just over a length by Baran Mourinho. A 7/2 chance for the A3 at 4-47 ‘Monty’ was the winner everywhere bar the line! Quick away he led at the first bend and was soon clear down the back straight! He turned for home with a healthy lead but was caught right on the line by the staying on Guinness Moon who is trained by Seamus Cahill. Another Me clocked a very decent 30.28 (Normal) in 2nd place beaten a neck by the winner!

LISTRY ACE clocked 31.28 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten seven lengths by Albion Calde in A8 grade on the 4th September. The October 12 daughter of Kinloch Brae owned by the  Norah Mac Racing Club was given a drop in grade for an A9 last Thursday and took full advantage when sent of the 9/4 favourite she led all the way to beat Risky Roisin by a length! Clocking 30.98 (Normal) ‘Grace’ was winning her 7th race for the Norah Mac Racing Club and she was up in grade for the A8 at 5-07. Sent off a 5/2 chance she was quick away and led to the second bend! Always prominent she clocked 31.12 (Normal) when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over two lengths by the Tony Taylor trained winner Westberry Memoir.

AEGEAN DELIGHT clocked 16.76 (Normal) when finishing 3rd behind Risk Of Value in a D2 Sprint on the 25th June. The August 14 daughter of Colorful Champ clocked 16.72 calculated in a Solo Sprint Trial at Hove on the 5th September following seasonal rest and she returned to race action for a D2 Sprint last Sunday. A 3/1 chance she suffered crowding at the first bend and clocked 17.04 (Normal) when finishing 3rd beaten just under four lengths by Guinness Super. 5/2 joint-favourite for the D2 Sprint at 5-22 Aegean Delight was very badly baulked at the first bend and finishing in 6th place she clocked 17.46 (Normal) when beaten  three lengths by Get On Talia who is trained by Seamus Cahill.

FLACKWELL SPIRIT was withdrawn (lame) from the A7 at 6-11 and the June 14 son of Taylors Sky was a non-runner today!
