It’s Lucky 13 For Fanore Breeze!

FANORE BREEZE broke well and led all the way clocking 30.49 (Normal) when beating Perro Par by 1/2 a length in A6 grade on the 17th September! She was up in grade for an A5 last Friday where she was quick away and led from the fourth bend to the run-in when finishing 2nd to Clairkeith Rico. Clocking 30.54 (Normal) the December 12 daughter of Crash was only beaten a length and was sent off the 7/4 favourite for the A5 at 2-47. She was quick away and led on the run-in when beating the Jason Heath trained Nods Raggy Doll by a neck! Owned by Steve Keay Fanore Breeze clocked 30.64 (-10) 30.54 calculated when winning her 13th race at Hove!

A Great Win For Gelert!

GELERT THE GREAT was slow away but he ran on well clocking 30.77 calculated when beating Wonkers Lad by a short-head in A7 grade on the 31st August! He was put up in grade for an A6 on the 4th September where he was again slow away and crowded on the run-up! The May 14 son of Westmead Hawk clocked 30.78 calculated when finishing 5th beaten three lengths by Starch Hill Sid and was given a drop in grade for an A7 on the 9th September! Another slow break didn’t help his chance and he clocked 31.07 calculated when finishing 4th beaten two lengths by Kimiko. He was a 7/1 shot for the A7 at 3-28 and despite being baulked at the first bend he ran on well to lead at the fourth when beating the Derek Knight trained Maireads Dream by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Paul Tomlin and Sophie Tomlin Gelert The Great clocked 30.91 (-20) 30.71 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared

MARYS BOY was a 4/1 chance for a D2 Sprint last Wednesday where he clocked 17.07 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by Ohmakneeliz. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was a 5/2 chance for the D2 Sprint at 5-38 where he showed good early pace and led from 1/2 way to the second bend clocking 17.00 (-10) 16.90 calculated when finishing in 2nd place beaten a length and a half by the Paul Garland trained winner Forever Man. Kennel mate EL LATINO was a 12/1 shot for a D2 Sprint on the 18th September where she was very slow away and had no chance when baulked at the second bend! Clocking 17.46 (Normal) she finished in 5th place beaten almost seven lengths by Brunswick Lucy. The May 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari was a 7/1 chance today but after making another slow start she finished in 5th place clocking 17.21 (-10) 17.11 calculated when beaten four lengths by the winner.

FRONT STEP was slow away and baulked at the first bend on her Hove debut! Clocking 30.91 (Normal) she finished in 5th place beaten just over five lengths by her kennel mate Fanore Breeze. The January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was a 6/1 chance for an A6 last Friday but was again slow away. Clocking 30.98 (Normal) she finished in 6th place beaten three and a half lengths by Snowy Drifter and was given a drop in grade for the A7 at 5-56. Baulked at the first bend she clocked 31.14 (-20) 30.94 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by Maireads Rest who is trained by Derek Knight.

KILCOMMON was unable to dominate from the front after suffering crowding in A9 grade on the 18th September! Clocking 31.64 (Normal) he finished in 6th place beaten seven lengths by Warnham Star. The August 13 son of Vans Escalade was a 5/1 shot for an A9 last Thursday where he suffered crowding at the first bend and again on the run-in! Clocking 31.21 (Normal) he finished 5th beaten just under four lengths by Risky Roisin and was an 8/1 for the A9 at 6-11 today. Suffering crowding at the 1/4 mark he finished in 4th place clocking 31.34 (-20) 31.14 calculated when beaten almost nine lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Steves Aphrodite.
