WINNERS

BARNISH PETER was last successful when beating Flagfield Lucy in A5 grade on the 6th May! Recent efforts include clocking 30.76 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten just under five lengths by Aero Velocity in A6 grade on the 24th September. The February 12 son of Top Honcho was a 4/1 chance for an A6 last Friday but he found ‘trouble’ in running! Crowded at the first bend he was baulked and checked wide at the fourth! Clocking 30.80 calculated he finished in 4th place beaten just over three lengths by Skywalker Tara and was given a drop in grade for the A7 at 5-56 today. Sent off the 5/2 favourite he led at the fourth bend when beating the Jason Heath trained Slaneyside Doyle by almost two lengths! Owned by Norah McEllistrim Barnish Peter clocked 31.00 (+10) 31.10 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove!

LISTRY ACE 2

LISTRY ACE  –  9 wins for the Racing Club! 

LISTRY ACE suffered crowding in an A8 on the 25th September but she ran on well to grab 2nd place clocking 30.85 calculated when beaten just over four lengths by Tyrur Celena. The October 12 daughter of Kinloch Brae owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club  was given a drop in grade for an A9 last Thursday! ‘Grace’ was sent off the 2/1 favourite and despite early crowding she got up right on the line to beat Roffey Bullet by a short-head! Clocking 31.02 calculated Listry Ace was put up in grade for the A8 at 6-11. Again sent off the 2/1 favourite she was always prominent and led at the 3/4 mark when beating the Paul Garland trained Watch The Break by almost two lengths! Clocking 30.83 (+10) 30.93 calculated ‘Grace’ was winning her 9th race for the Norah Mac Racing Club moving their total number of winners to 145.

How Our Other Runners Fared

TIMBERLEE LASS found ‘trouble’ in running and clocked 31.35 calculated when finishing 5th beaten over seven lengths by Dower Tip in A10 grade on the 24th September. Given a drop in grade for an A11 last Saturday the April 14 daughter of Blackstone Gene again found trouble! Badly baulked at the first bend in a nasty incident where Leamaneigh Hawk was a faller she clocked 32.20 calculated when finishing in 5th place over fifteen lengths behind Ellaha Diamond. Although baulked and crowded in the A11 at 2-08 today she finished a fair 3rd clocking 31.61 (+10) 31.71 calculated when beaten three and a half lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Who Needs Socks.

MARYS BOY clocked 17.07 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just under four lengths by Ohmakneeliz in a D2 Sprint on the 21st September. The June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was a 5/2 chance for a D2 Sprint last Wednesday where he showed good early pace and led from 1/2 way to the second bend! Clocking 16.90 calculated he finished in 2nd place beaten a length and a half by Forever Man. The 10/1 outsider for the D2 Sprint at 3-28 he was slow away and suffered crowding at 1/2 way! Clocking 17.04 (+5) 17.09 calculated he finished in 5th place beaten three and a half lengths by Swift Batten who is trained by Maria Collins.

SIZZLERS SIMBA was a 5/2 chance on her Hove debut in a D3 Sprint on the 17th September. Badly baulked at the first bend she clocked 17.63 (Normal) when finishing 6th beaten just over five lengths by Drumcove Jar Jar. The January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda gained further experience in another D3 Sprint on the 21st September. Clocking 17.21 calculated she finished in 6th place beaten five lengths by My Inspiration. A 12/1 chance for the D3 Sprint at 4-27 she was baulked on the run-in and finished in 6th place clocking 17.23 (+5) 17.28 calculated when beaten five lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Get On Talia.

GELERT THE GREAT was given a drop in grade for an A7 on the 9th September but he didn’t help his chance with a slow break and clocking 31.07 calculated he finished 4th beaten two lengths by Kimiko. The May 14 son of Westmead Hawk was a 7/1 shot for an A7 last Wednesday and despite being baulked at the first bend he ran on well to beat Maireads Dream by 3/4 of a length! Gelert The Great clocked 30.71 calculated when winning for the 4th time at Hove and was up in grade for the A6 at 5-07. Sent off a 5/1 chance he was baulked at the first bend and clocking 31.34 (+10) 31.44 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten just under eight lengths by Bellinter Bear who is trained by Wayne Wrighting.

BALIBO MAGS was given a drop in grade for an A5 on the 24th September where she led at the first bend and kept on well to beat Seanachie Boy by a length! Clocking 30.40 calculated the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was winning for the 4th time at Hove! ‘Mags’ lined up for “Team Hove” in the BAGS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP BITCHES race at Romford last Thursday but she had to settle for 2nd place behind the impressive winner Quantum who is trained locally by Philip Simmonds. ‘Mags’ ran on well after first bend crowding and clocked 24.28 calculated to earn 7 points! She was back at Hove and up in grade for the A4 at 5-22. Sent off the 7/4 favourite she showed good early pace and led to the run-in but was caught near the line by the Jason Heath trained winner Zari Dromin. ‘Mags’ clocked 30.60 (+10) 30.70 calculated in 2nd place beaten just over a length by the winner!
