WEDNESDAY HOVE REPORT
Wednesday 6th September 2017 – HOVE Report
DROOPYS ROXY was sent off the 5/2 favourite for the A6 at 2-47 where despite making a slow start the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act ran on well to finish in 2nd place clocking 30.69 (-10) 30.59 calculated when beaten just 3/4 of a length by the Wayne Wrighting trained winner Scala Spark.
FLACKWELL SPIRIT was a 5/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 3-28 and although he was crowded at the first bend he was only beaten two lengths by Ascension who is trained by Maria Collins. Clocking 16.99 (-5) 16.94 calculated the June 14 son of Taylors Sky finished in 5th place.
BALLYSTEEN SKY was a 7/1 shot for the D3 Sprint at 4-47 but sadly the January 16 son of Taylors Sky was badly baulked at the 1st bend a suffered a nasty fall. The race was won by the Tony Taylor trained Brinkleys Bobdog.
Julie Hillier has reported from the track that Ballysteen Sky appears to be fine. The Hove Vets have checked him over thoroughly and although likely to be sore in the morning he is ok!
FRONT STEP ran on well to beat Jubbleslastone by a head in an A10 last Wednesday and the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was up in grade for the A9 at 5-07. A 5/1 chance she was badly baulked at the 1st bend after making a quick start! Clocking 32.07 (-10) 31.97 calculated she finished in 5th place beaten thirteen lengths by Sacred Act who is trained by Richard Rees.
AVIT ON DORIS was a 4/1 shot for the A7 at 5-22 where the March 14 daughter of Shaneboy Spencer held every chance when finishing in 3rd place. Clocking 31.13 (-10) 31.03 calculated ‘Doris’ was beaten just two lengths by the Derek Knight trained winner Lightfoot Costa.
BALIBO RUBY was an 8/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 5-56 but the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate suffered 1st bend crowding after making a slow start! Finishing in 5th place ‘Ruby’ clocked 17.09 (-5) 17.04 calculated when beaten three lengths by Tyrur Jasmine who is trained by Richard Rees.
PALACE QUEEN was sent off a 7/2 chance for the A10 at 6-11 but the February 14 daughter of Shaneboy Lee was baulked at the 1/4 mark! Clocking 31.45 (-10) 31.35 calculated she finished in 5th place beaten just under seven lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Beanos Ginger.
