WEDNESDAY HOVE REPORT
Wednesday 23rd August 2017 – HOVE Report
FLACKWELL SPIRIT was a 3/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 2-08 where the June 14 son of Taylors Sky was quick away and led from the 1st bend to near the line! Clocking 16.59 (Normal) he finished in 2nd place beaten just a ‘head’ by the Jason Heath trained winner Ballybough Jamie.
AVIT ON DORIS was a 5/1 shot for the A6 at 2-27 where the March 14 daughter of Shaneboy Spencer made a fast start and led to the 3rd bend! Finishing in 3rd place ‘Doris’ clocked 30.72 (Normal) when beaten three lengths by Skywalker Tara who is trained by Jason Heath.
BALLYSTEEN STAR was sent off a 7/1 chance for the A9 at 2-47 but the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari suffered crowding at the 3/4 mark! Finishing in 4th place she clocked 31.44 (Normal) when beaten six lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Ashby Pastures.
SIZZLERS APOLLO beat Newinn Hulk by a neck last time and the September 13 son of Droopys Scolari was a 9/2 chance for the D1 Sprint at 4-08. First bend crowding followed a slow start and he clocked 16.77 (-5) 16.72 calculated when finishing in 4th place beaten two lengths by Macumu who is trained by Richard Rees.
BALIBO RUBY was sent off the 7/1 outsider for the ‘re-run’ Heat 2 of the Owners Bonus Series D2 Sprint competition at 5-22 with the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Ruby syndicate needing a first three finish to make the Final! Sadly ‘Ruby’ made a slow start and clocking 17.02 (-5) 16.97 calculated she finished in 6th place beaten three lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Elijahs Dream.
SIZZLERS GUNBOAT was a 6/1 chance for the A4 at 6-11 but the September 15 son of Mall Brandy was slow away and baulked at the 3/4 mark! Clocking 31.31 (-10) 31.21 calculated he finished in 6th place beaten just over nine lengths by Jokeisover who is trained by Jason Heath.
