WINNER
REDSTAR POPPY – A Hove Hat-Trick!
REDSTAR POPPY led at the 1st bend when beating Cisberry Geo by a neck in an A6 on the 1st October! Up in A5 grade last Sunday the February 14 daughter of Kinloch Brae followed up when dead-heating for 1st place with Step In Front. A 9/2 chance for the A5 at 4-47 ‘Poppy’ completed her hat-trick with a determined display! Showing good early pace she disputed the lead throughout and although suffering crowding at the 3rd bend she held off the challenge of the Seamus Cahill trained Cloheena Layla to win by a head! Owned by The Ray Churchouse Syndicate Redstar Poppy clocked 30.87 (Normal) when winning her 11th race at Hove!

How Our Other Runners Fared
Off the track through injury since finishing 3rd beaten just over a length by Droopys Hera in A7 grade on the 8th September FOREVER MICK returned to action over the inadequate 285 metres of the D2 Sprint at 2-08. A 5/1 chance the June 15 son of Tullymurry Act was slow away and finished in 6th place clocking 16.90 (Normal) when beaten just under five lengths by the Jamie Kingsley trained winner Dunbolg Jason but the run will have put ‘Micky’ straight!
BALIBO MAGS finished in 6th place beaten seven and a half lengths by Jems Bullet last Wednesday but the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate was sent off 5/2 favourite for the A7 at 3-07 today! Sadly ‘Mags’ suffered 1st bend crowding and was unable to dominate. Clocking 31.37 (Normal) she finished in 6th place beaten eleven lengths by Who Needs Hope who is trained by Seamus Cahill.
DERRYADD MARLEY got off the mark at Hove when beating kennel mate Timberlee Lad by just over five lengths on Sunday! Up in grade for the D2 Sprint at 4-08 the August 15 daughter of Zero Ten was sent off a 7/2 chance. Baulked at 1/2 way she finished in 5th place clocking 17.10 (Normal) when beaten just over five lengths by the Claude Gardiner trained winner Gemini Joker.
RISING ROCKET was 6th beaten just under eleven lengths by Crossfield Molly in a Hove Open last time and the August 14 son of Farley Blitz was sent off the 10/1 outsider for the A3 at 5-07. Slow away and badly baulked at the 1st bend he clocked 30.98 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place beaten just under ten lengths by Days That Were who is trained by Tony Taylor.
BALIBO BONNIE was beaten two lengths by Mercury Dream on her latest outing and the January 16 daughter of Tullymurry Act owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club was a 7/2 chance for the D3 Sprint at 5-56. Crowded at the 1st bend ‘Bonnie’ finished in 4th place clocking 17.12 (Normal) when beaten just over four lengths by the Seamus Cahill trained winner There She Sails.
