WINNERS  

‘CHAIN LIGHTING’ CONTINUES IN GREAT FORM!

CHAIN LIGHTING – his 7th win at Hove!

The in-form CHAIN LIGHTING was sent off a 3/1 chance for the HOVE MAIDEN 490 Open Race on the 28th March where he led on the run-in to beat the Alma Keppie trained Creamery Duke by 3/4 of a length! He found ‘trouble’ in running when a close 3rd to Shotgun Express last Saturday and the June 16 son of Droopys Jet was sent off 6/4 favourite for the A4 at 3-11. Showing good early pace he soon led and keeping on well beat the Maria Collins trained Comenzo Skyline by just over three lengths! Owned by Jonathan Muller and Norah McEllistrim ‘Chain Lighting’ clocked 30.25 (Normal) when winning for the 7th time at Hove!
Kennel mate ROSEGARLAND MOJO held every chance and finishing in 3rd place she clocked 30.55 (Normal) when beaten just under four lengths by the winner.

190th WINNER FOR THE NORAH MAC RACING CLUB!

STAR OF ROBEEN  –  his 4th Win at Hove! 

STAR OF ROBEEN completed a quick ‘double’ early last October where he beat Gemini Pixie by almost two lengths in A9 grade and a week later he followed-up to beat Sids Little Boy by almost two lengths in A8 grade! At the end of October he beat Boderan Chip by a short-head in an A7 but he picked up an injury in November and was off the track until 3rd April where he returned to finish 5th behind Sizzlers Spring. Sent off a 4/1 chance for the D2 Sprint at 3-29 the March 16 son of Taylors Sky was back on the winners rostrum again! Slow away he was crowded at the 1st bend but staying on well led near the line to beat the Maria Collins trained Iko Iko by a short-head! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Star Of Robeen’ clocked 17.17 (Normal) when winning his 4th race at Hove and moves the Racing Club’s total on to the 190 winner mark!!

Our Runners Who Made The Frame

SHANEBOY BREEZE led from 1/2 way to the run-in but had to settle for 2nd place in the A8 at 3-49. Clocking 30.90 (Normal) he was beaten a length and a half by Swift Victoria.
