‘WOODY’ GETS THERE JUST IN TIME!
TIMBERLEE LAD – his 10th win at Hove!
TIMBERLEE LAD had finished 3rd on his last five runs but the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene went ‘two’ place’s better today with victory in the D3 Sprint at 2-27. Sent off a 7/2 chance he produced a strong late run to lead near the line beating the Tony Taylor trained Aero Saffron by 3/4 of a length! Owned by Alf Benson ‘Woody’ clocked 16.82 (Normal) when winning his 10th race at Hove! Kennel mate SUMMERVILLE KATE beat Wheres Jake by a neck to open her Hove account last Saturday and the July 15 daughter of Forest Master was a 9/2 chance here. Badly baulked at the 1st bend she clocked 17.22 (Normal) when finishing in 5th place five lengths behind the winner.

‘MAGS’ TAKES ADVANTAGE OF 1st BEND TROUBLE!
BALIBO MAGS – her 6th Hove win!
Speaking at the kennels yesterday Norah said that if they had 475 metre graded races at Hove BALIBO MAGS would have a string of wins to her name! The 515 metres really stretches the stamina of the July 14 daughter of Razldazl Rioga and she often gets picked up late on! She ended a 30 race losing run when beating Suirview Boris by 1/2 a length in A6 grade on the 7th July and she was a 7/2 chance for the A5 at 3-48. Showing good early pace ‘Mags’ suffered least from the 1st bend crowding that involved all six dogs and leading all the way she held off the Claude Gardiner trained Telthefishermen to win by a neck! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Mags syndicate Balibo Mags clocked 31.37 (-10) 31.27 calculated when winning for the 6th time at Hove!

JACK’S WIN A TIMELY BOOST FOR RACING CLUB!
INDEPENDENT JACK – notched up the Clubs 157th Win!
Lately INDEPENDENT JACK has been the mainstay for the Racing Club which has suffered a miserable run of injuries this year that has resulted with the recent retirements of Rockmount Katie and the prolific winner Listry Ace. With Gelert The Great also on the side lines Independent Jack has been flying the flag for the for Club! The August 13 son of Kinloch Brae has been running well without getting his head in front but after receiving a recent drop in grade he was sent off the 5/2 favourite for the D2 Sprint at 4-27. Quick away he always led when beating the Ken Tester trained Eyed Lands Girl by just over two lengths! Owned by the Norah Mac Racing Club ‘Jack’ clocked 16.56 (-5) 16.51 calc. when winning for the 12th time at Hove! Kennel mate HYNESS MILL was a 4/1 chance and although being handy the September 14 son of Droopys Jet suffered crowding on the run-in! Finishing in 3rd place ‘Ron’ clocked 16.89 (-5) 16.84 calculated when beaten four lengths by the winner.

How Our Other Runners Fared
SISTERS SECRET was a 5/1 chance for the A2 at 2-47 but the April 15 son of Kinloch Brae was baulked at the 1st bend and he checked at the 1/4 mark! Sadly ‘Malcolm’ finished lame after picking up a muscle injury and he will be seen by the vet tomorrow.
FRONT STEP was a 9/2 shot for the A9 at 5-56 but the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was always behind and clocked 31.38 (-20) 31.18 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten five lengths by the Jason Heath trained winner Fabulous Arrival.
CLOMANTAGH HOLLY was beaten just a ‘neck’ by Marshals Kim on her Hove debut last Saturday night and despite finishing 4th in the A11 at 6-11 the April 15 daughter of Mall Brandy was only beaten just 3/4 of a length! Baulked at the 1/4 mark the 5/1 chance ran on well clocking 31.61 (-20) 31.41 calculated behind the race winner Lacey Reels (Richard Rees) in a blanket finish! Kennel mate SIZZLERS IVORY was a 3/1 shot and the January 15 daughter of Farloe Barracuda was quick away and led to the 3rd bend! Clocking 31.66 (-20) 31.46 calculated ‘Simba’ finished in 6th place but was only beaten just over a length by the winner!
