The club has a triple header on Wednesday’s afternoon BAGS card: Up first is Oscar (Lima Oscar) in the A6 at 2.27pm. The field is much the same as Oscar’s recent runs so, again, he has claims from the six box.  That said, confidence would be moderate given his efforts of late.

The D1 at 3.07pm offers Wendy (Hanover Lady) a chance to retain her excellent run of form. Our blue benefits from the inside seeding in what is a pretty hot heat. She’ll need a smart break to hold off some of  Nevill Road’s best sprinters.

Completing the trio, Lenny (Droopys Leonard) goes for some A2 glory in the 5.56pm. Boxed in stripes, Lenny is likely to get the better of the early exchanges and if running to his previous winning form he may have enough to hold sway. Lenny appears to have the best chance of Wednesday’s club representatives.

Ellen (Droopys Ellen) is expected to have her second trial prior to racing on Thursday. Norah is still not completely happy with Woody’s (Fleetwood Rocker) well-being and he’s going to have some tests this week.

Horse Outside has a crack at the finale on Friday’s BAGS card, an A4 at 1.58pm. Berthed in the blue box, there’s a fair degree of pace either side in what is a tightly graded affair.

Lenny (Droopys Leonard) has a second bite of the cherry this week, contesting a very hot A2 in Saturday’s closing contest at 10.30pm whilst Oscar (Lima Oscar) has been ‘put in’ for the 8.02, an A6. Oscar is looking to break a losing streak of seven runs, charting back to mid-May.

Norah has finalised plans for the July 7th Summer Seaside Soiree at the track that evening so keep that date free in your diary.  It’ll be a chance to meet old friends and new, meet the kennel team and Norah, they’ll be a hot and cold buffet, race sponsorship and the usual Norahmac club vibe! It is likely to be paid for from club funds with a contribution towards expenses raised through a raffle.

DroopysEllen, unfortunately, did not focus at all in her trial on Thursday and has got a ‘yellow card.’   This blot on her copybook is, obviously, a great disappointment but comes as part of the trials and tribulations of the game.

Woody (Fleetwood Rocker) is on a third set of anti-biotics and will be out for at least a month.  If these anti-biotics don’t do the trick it’s possible he may be retired.

The club has had setbacks before and one of Norah’s strengths is turning negatives into positives.  With swelling membership and much healthier run and win money the bank balance has been built up so all options remain open as we go into the second half of this our second year full of hope for plenty more successes.
