Unfortunately Wendy (Hanover Lady) got spiked (foot scratched by another dog’s toe-nail) on Saturday and will now be off for a few weeks.  She’s earned a break and the injury is relatively minor.

Good  and moderate news from the trials.  Lenny (Droopys Leonard) went very well in his trial. He ran with some panache and clocked a respectable time, winning his two dog trial. His winter break really looks to have freshened him up.

Whilst Leah (Memories Leah) also put in a really good pipe-opener, she was found to have come in season just after the trial.  So another lay-off. That said, she’s still very young and will be ‘bonny’ for a late spring/summer campaign.

Oscar (Lima Oscar) was ‘put in’ as a late reserve on Wednesday and showed up well enough considering his lay-off.  He’s sure to come on and has a quick return to action on Saturday in an A9 at 9.41pm.

This company is more Oscar’s level and, notwithstanding he’ll still be short of optimum racing fitness, our black lad, boxed in stripes, is entitled to go close.
