What a week & thru to 29/9
Review
Last week exceeded expectations with Teddy (Ballymac Marine) landing a spectacular headline-making win in the Romford Puppy Cup last Friday.
And Norah did herself proud with a splendidly watchable piece of punditry on Thursday’s RPGTV show. Added to the fair share of winners, were a trip down memory lane, insight into training techniques and some diplomatic answers to e-mails and tweets from many of her friends, fans and general viewers.
The kennel is now in thirteenth place in the National Trainers Championship for Open wins, whilst still retaining top spot in the wins/runs average at graded level at Hove.
It’s hoped that we’ll be able to feature all of Ballymac Marine”s races on his way to victory on a dedicated page in due course. There’s certainly some thrilling action on display.

Wednesday’s BAGS card has two club runners on show. Lenny (Droopys Leonard) is entered in the A5 at 4.08pm. A return to the standard trip, following a very respecatble third in an Open sprint last week, has Lenny in the striped jacket, facing a typically tough ask against a couple of useful looking youngsters in traps three and four.
A downgrade to A5 suggests Horse Outside has a pretty significant chance of landing the purse associated with the 4.47pm. Additionally, the frame of the race favours our white and black who, on paper, has a reasonably clear run from the inside berth.
Gilbert (Ferdia Oscar), in trap four, has another go at a D1, at 11.57am on Friday’s card at Hove. Whilst yet to trouble the judge, our white and black has, on several occasions, shown he really is a pacey type. He’ll pop up sooner or later at a juicy price, maybe today’s the day?
Molly (Classy Molly) has a look at the track with a return to race action in the D1 at 834pm on Saturday night. Boxed in three she’s really outclassed in a very strong heat.
Sunday’s card provides Lenny (Droopys Leonard) an opportunity for a quick double by landing the A4 at 12.58pm. It was a storming run on Wednesday, and with a decent stripes draw we can be hopeful of another prominent run despite the hike in handicap.
