WINNERS
FLACKWELL SPIRIT suffered 1st bend crowding when finishing in 5th place beaten two lengths by Ascension on Wednesday and the June 14 son of Taylors Sky was sent off a 5/1 chance when making a quick re-appearance in the D2 Sprint at 11-57. Quick away he always led when beating the Tony Taylor trained Brinkleys Jet by a length and a half! Owned by Steve Barton Flackwell Spirit clocked 16.63 (-10) 16.53 calculated when winning for the 13th time at Hove!

FRONT STEP found ‘trouble’ in running when finishing 5th beaten thirteen lengths by Sacred Act on Wednesday but the January 15 daughter of Ballymac Eske was made 5/2 favourite down in grade for the A10 at 12-41. Running on well she got up near the line to beat her kennel mate Ballysteen Star by a head! Owned by Dave Staddon Front Step clocked 31.30 (-20) 31.10 calculated when winning her 4th race at Hove! The unlucky BALLYSTEEN STAR was a 3/1 chance and despite suffering crowding at the first two bends the July 14 daughter of Droopys Scolari led from the 2nd bend to near the line! Finishing in 2nd place ‘Star’ clocked 31.32 (-20) 31.12 calculated when beaten just a ‘head’ by the winner.

How Our Other Runners Fared
PALACE PRINCESS was a 5/1 chance for the A5 at 12-12 but the May 15 daughter of Godsend was crowded and forced to check at the 1st bend! Finishing in 4th place she clocked 30.98 (-20) 30.78 calculated when beaten just over five lengths by Cloheena Hooley who is trained by Seamus Cahill.
PALACE QUEEN was sent off a 7/2 chance for the A10 at 12-27 where the February 14 daughter of Shaneboy Lee was badly bumped at the 1st bend! Clocking 31.93 (-20) 31.73 calculated she finished in 5th place beaten just under nine lengths by the Doreen Walsh trained winner Newros Holly.
TIMBERLEE LAD was a 5/2 fancy for the D3 Sprint at 1-12 but despite making a quick start the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene had to settle for 3rd place! Clocking 17.08 (-10) 16.98 calculated he was beaten just over three lengths by Chasin Pavements who is trained by Derek Knight. MARYS BOY was a 7/1 shot but the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay suffered crowding at the 1st bend and again on the run-in! Clocking 17.19 (-10) 17.09 calculated he finished in 5th place beaten just under five lengths by the winner.
DROOPYS ROXY was sent off a 7/2 chance for the A6 at 1-28 where the September 15 daughter of Tullymurry Act suffered crowding at the first two bends after making a slow start! Running on well she finished in 2nd place clocking 30.70 (-20) 30.50 calculated when beaten just under five by the Seamus Cahill trained winner Babyface Owen.
SPIDERMAN was winning his 22nd race at Hove when beating Droopys Schnozz by a length and a half last time out and the June 14 son of Razldazl Jayfkay was sent off the 9/4 favourite for the D1 Sprint at 1-44. Holding every chance he finished in 2nd place clocking 16.67 (-10) 16.57 calculated when beaten just over a length by Westmead Julie who is trained by Derek Knight. Kennel mate SIZZLERSCHEYENNE was a 5/1 shot and although slow away he was always on the heels of the leaders! Finishing in 4th place the August 12 son of Hondo Black clocked 16.73 (-10) 16.63 calculated when beaten just under two lengths by the winner.
