SUNDAY WINS FOR ‘TIMBERLEE LAD’ AND ‘BIG BANG’

Timberlee Lad  –  2nd Hove Win!

TIMBERLEE LAD was a fair 2nd to Elusive Kate in A10 grade on the 2nd December but the April 14 son of Blackstone Gene was well beaten by Champagne Maura in A10 grade on the 5th December and by Berkshire Hodgo in A11 grade on the 11th December. He showed better form when beaten two lengths by Rich Again in A11 grade on Wednesday and returned to winning ways with victory in the A11 at 11-11 today. ‘Woody’ was slow away but he ran on well to beat the Maria Collins trained Bombay Noir by a short-head! Owned by Alf Benson Timberlee Lad clocked 31.35 (-30) 31.05 when winning his 2nd race at Hove!

BIG BANG won a Hove Open on the 1st October but picked up an injury when finishing 4th to Drive To Dubin in A3 grade on the 24th October. The December 12 son of College Causeway was rested but returned to clock 30.63 in a three dog Trial over 515 metres on the 7th December and he put in a great effort on his comeback run in A3 grade last Saturday clocking a very decent 30.23 calculated when 2nd beaten a ‘neck’ by Cree Rumble. Quick away in the A3 at 11-42 he always led beating the Seamus Cahill trained Starring Storm just over three lengths! Owned by Mr P. Mumford Big Bang clocked a superb 30.40 (-30) 30.10 calculated when winning for the 2nd time at Hove! kennel mate ROCKMOUNT ROBBEN recently completed a hat-trick when beating Bearhavon Niro by 1/2 a length in A4 grade on the 9th December! The September 2013 son of Westmead Hawk had enjoyed previous wins over Ballymac Chindit  and Ballymac Cai but his winning run came to an end in A3 grade on Wednesday when he was beaten by Independent Jack. ‘Rocky’ made a slow start today and clocked 30.81 (-30) 30.51 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten just over five lengths by the winner.

SIZZLERSCHEYENNE  clocked 26.79 when finishing 2nd beaten just a short-head by the Jo Burridge trained Sky Jack on the 24th November to qualify for the Semi-Finals of the CARLSBERG CLASSIC 2015 Competition at Poole! The August 12 son of Hondo Black owned by Dave and Joy Cook missed the break in the Semis and finished 6th beaten nine lengths by June Harvey’s Aimnfire. He ran well holding every chance in a competitive Hove Sprint Open last Sunday clocking 16.51 when finishing in 3rd place beaten just over three lengths by the Jason Heath trained Swift Watson. A slow break and trouble in running spoilt his chance in the CORAL HOVE SPRINT at 11-57 and he finished in 4th place clocking 16.64 calculated beaten six lengths by the Sean White trained Broadway Turbine.

DRAGON OVERLORD clocked 30.40 in a Solo Trial over 515 Metres on the 7th December and was stepped up in trip and class for Heat 2 of the SUSSEX PUPPY TROPHY. He ran a cracker leading from the second bend to near the line finishing a Short-Head 2nd to the Keith Allsop trained Slick Strauss to qualify for this Final. The July 14 son of Tullymurry Act owned by Mr J. A. Yelding suffered trouble in running today and clocked 30.40 calculated when finishing 4th beaten just over five lengths by the Barry O’Sullivan trained winner Mystical Dreamer. Our other finalist DROOPYS RELAX finished 4th in A6 grade on the 9th December and the February 14 daughter of Mall Brandy owned by Dave Staddon was stepped up in class for Heat 3 of the SUSSEX PUPPY TROPHY but she clocked her fastest time (30.42) to reach the Final. A 14/1 chance today she clocked 30.50 calculated when finishing in 5th place beaten six and a half lengths by the winner!

BADMOONRISING picked up an injury when finishing 5th beaten four lengths by Moanteen Merlin in the JOHN SMITHS KENT DERBY Semi-Finals on the 1st October. The August 12 son of Ace Hi Rumble owned by Mick McCrory & Debbie Williams  returned in triumph at Hove on the 12th November beating the Daniel Brabon trained Broadway Yan a short-head to win the CORAL.CO.UK 475 Open Race. Badmoonrising was beaten just over nine lengths by the Jo Burridge trained Ninja Diva in a Poole Open on the 24th November but he ran a cracker in the CORAL HOVE 475 Open race at 1-58 when beaten just a neck by the Paul Young trained Sunday Sailor. Despite suffering crowding Badmoonrising clocked 28.17 calculated finishing in 2nd place!
